Heartbreaking Decision: 2020 HOF Induction CANCELLED The volunteers and all of us associated with the Central Okanagan Sports Hall of Fame often make difficult decisions, but this has been the hardest to date. Because of the ongoing uncertainty due to COVID-19, the 2020 Hall of Fame induction event set for November has been cancelled. This is very unfortunate in so many ways but in particular, we were looking forward to hosting the 2020 event as an additional inspiration to s...how the community things were returning to normal. The decision was made at this time because there is so much planning and preparation that goes into hosting an induction event. The most important element of course is the notification of the inductees which had not yet been done for this year thus avoiding an immense disappointment. As a result, the Hall of Fame will not have any inductees for 2020 but we are eagerly ready to begin plans on the 2021 event and make it the best ever. We know you share in our disappointment on having to cancel this year’s ceremony but equally share in our enthusiasm to showcase the 2021 inductions. We very much appreciate your loyalty and on-going support for this incredible community program and look forward to sharing more outstanding moments of success, dedication and inspiration in November 2021.
