Today, May 5, is the National Day of Awareness & Action for #MMIWG2S. This national day for awareness and action is being held in both the US and Canada. It’s a day to remember those who have been lost, a day to honour the survivors, and a day to act for change. At Central City Foundation, we are committed to sharing networks and resources and building relationships with Indigenous communities to further the work of these groups and support the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. #dtes #vanpoli #bcpoli

Did you catch our CEO Jennifer Johnstone on Global BC this morning discussing the harm of stigmatizing those who use drugs? You can watch it here. https://www.centralcityfoundation.ca/our-ceo-jennifer-john/ If you want to help foster healing and help us challenge the stigma that makes the situation even more deadly for people who use drugs, visit centralcityfoundation.ca and donate.
