If you're starting to feel like you've reached the end of the Internet, Central Station can help! CS Recommends is a recurring series where we share the books/shows/articles/movies that we've discovered over the past year. Our writer Alex is up first with a show that totally sucks.

It’s time for Spotify! The! Staff! The game where legends are born, secret musical shame is revealed, and there’s an overwhelming amount of One Direction! You’ve seen their tails on Zoom calls, heard them bark in Teams meetings, and lost a perfectly good headline when they walked over the keyboard. Now it’s time to meet our newest, furriest Central Stationers! First up is our writer, Alex, and her friendly-yet-fiendish furballs.

January can be a really ghoulish month. So, we asked our resident basement ghost, Dave IV, how he deals with the winter scaries. With an upbeat playlist to rock out to, of course! Dave IV, you are a lifesaver. Oh! Sorry! Poor choice of words. Grab the tape: https://spoti.fi/3pVhxtw

It may be chilly, but you'll still have to pry our Two Bears Coffee Cold Brew from our paws! The stunning can design doesn’t hurt either

Old traditions meet new normal. To say this has been a wild year would be an understatement. And while we may not be able to have the big Thanksgiving get-together we usually do, there’s still plenty to be thankful for. The love and support of our friends and family, Amazon, remembering to put ourselves on mute, and only having to get half-dressed for work. Thanksgiving may look a little different, but the spirit is the same. So, don’t forget to take a minute this weekend a...nd think about the things you’re thankful for. Like bread! Thank you, bread, for being there when we kneaded you most. Happy Thanksgiving.

We worked on a complete rebrand for construction management company Cliff & Evans, including this sleek, high-end sales kit. With elegance and functionality in mind, we created a custom Cliff & Evans portfolio that housed everything they would need when speaking with clients, like a compartment for an iPad and Apple pencil to show project renders and progress reports, a built-in stand for "always-be-prepared" flair, and a place for their information package.

Minimalist design for minimal sugar. The good stuff is right on the front of the bottle (as well as inside it!) with clear-cut branding for Bask.

How has our team spent their extra time at home? Our social media manager, Sasky Stewart, has been helping fill the gaps between overburdened city agencies. Her website, East for East, stemmed from a recent Nextdoor post and has since become a logistics hub, pairing vulnerable east-end neighbours with local volunteers. In spite of these unique times, our unwavering spirit to Arrive Together will never falter. The journey to great work has changed, but our sense of direction is as steadfast as this country we call home. From all of us at Central Station

Thanks to community donations, our graphic designer, Zoe Zaiss, has been sourcing quilting scraps from Etsy to produce dozens of face masks. Having surpassed 300, she continues to ship her creations to essential workers in Toronto's healthcare, fulfilment and food industries. (We've highlighted a few of the friendly faces she's helped so far.) Know of any organizations that are in need of masks for personal or professional use? Tag them in the comments and we'll see if she can assist!

While some staff are perfecting their sourdough recipes, Paul Perkins, Central Station co-founder and partner, has found time to refocus on his craft. (The secret talents of our colleagues never cease to amaze us!) How are you staying inspired in week seven of global lockdown?

Wine collector. Sneaker lover. Sourdough baker. And now, 20-year Central Stationer. We're celebrating our Renaissance Manny virtually until we can celebrate him IRL with a nice glass of wine. We'll even let him pick the bottle. Congratulations to (the other) Manny Machado!

You may have noticed that new reviews, review replies and all Q&A have been disabled on Google My Business. Our digital team agrees that this is a good thing for many businesses. You have enough to worry about, without adding this new layer of reputation management. Rest assured, your star ratings are safe and sound. Thanks Google.

Pro Tip: avoid hiring similarly-named interns. You know, so you don't try to coax out Jennette Hoskin's classically trained opera voice when it's actually Julie Horan who is our resident leading lady. Silly usJennette's the one that can secretly wield a saxophone. (Look out, Stan Getz!) Luckily this confusion is worth the trouble, considering the incredible talent these two are bringing to our creative and studio departments. Say hello to our fabulous n00bs! #PeopleAreCentral #Interns

The staff at Central Station must have been EXTRA good this year; not everyone gets a call from the big man himself! Take a listen... (Thank you Scott Fortney Voice-Overs for giving him our number. )

To wrap up 2019, our Central Station baker elves went all out creating tasty treats for a good ol' fashioned cookie swap. We gathered by the sugar smorgasbord in our festive sweaters, sipping egg nog and nibbling away our monthly sugar intake. Wishing you all a perfectly tacky, very merry holiday!

With 2020 right around the corner, we couldnt stand one more year of boring, overdone, and overused New Years resolutions. So, to start this monumental year off right, we created New Years Roll-Solutions. An original, one-of-a-kind party game that helps you create a New Years resolution worthy of keeping. Will you take down the Illuminati? Or, finally admit the rhythm is going to get you? 2020 just got interesting.

First impressions matter. Which is why we're so pleased to welcome Jacqueline Dixon to the team. She's the first shining face you'll meet at 14 Birch Avenue, as our new Administrative Assistant and Brand Ambassador. Random Fact: while getting to know JD, we learned that her childhood dream was to become a baker. Considering her lethal dairy allergythat's even more validation that she's better off with us!
