(Note text messages do NOT go through - this is for phone calls only.) Please note, we are still offering COMPLIMENTARY delivery of food and prescriptions wi...th drops on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 4-6 pm. Pet Poison Prevention week. Common Household Medications Many of the drugs that we keep in our homes can pose a risk to our pets. ... Drugs such as : -Acetaminophen (Tylenol) -Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, Midol) -Acetylsalicylic acid (Asprin) and many more common cold and flu compounds are toxic to our pets. To keep your pets safe it is important to store medications in a secure location, and do not administer human medications to your pet without first consulting your vet. "The best treatment for this toxicity is to avoid it."

HAPPY MONDAY to our wonderful clients! We are almost back to full capacity again, and therefore our clinic is OPEN and back to regular hours, with Saturdays still being shared between the two clinics. Please be patient with us, as we still need to catch up on those appointments and surgeries that were postponed over the period that we were closed or at minimum capacity; but rest assured we are working towards getting back to normal as efficiently as possible. ... Thank you for your patience, understanding, and thoughts and messages of hope and best wishes. It meant the world to us, and certainly helped us get through a tough period. It's no secret...we have the very best clients. Thank you all!

We might not be back to full capacity (yet) but to that special person who is, thank you for working extra hard to make sure our clients are being cared for! But apparently we need a bigger delivery vehicle?

Despite our best efforts to keep the virus at bay, our sister clinic has also had a positive COVID-19 case. This case was also NOT in close contact with any clients, however has forced most of our doctors and staff into quarantine. We still have one doctor available and a couple of staff members (thank you, farm calls!) but we are severely limited in our capacity to serve the community. If you have an emergency, please still call the Bonnyville Veterinary Clinic at 780-826-...2188. For prescription refills and food sales, we can still process these, however can no longer provide delivery. These will need to be picked up from the Bonnyville Veterinary Clinic. Please continue to email your requests to [email protected] as we have staff monitoring emails offsite. In your email, please provide a phone number that you can be reached at in case we need to clarify anything. Once again, we thank you for your support.

Dearest Clients: We know it’s been frustrating (for clients and staff alike) over the past 8 months with all of the changes and rules put in place. Believe us, we haven’t liked it any more than you have we would love to be back in exam rooms with you and your pets, doing appointments the old way!!! We miss you all! Unfortunately, going back to the old days isn’t in the cards right now. Minimizing contact with our clients where we can’t remain socially distant was ...implemented to try and ensure that in some capacity, we are able to remain available for our community. As you likely know from our earlier posts today, we have had a positive case within our staff, and have had to close our doors temporarily. **We have confirmed that the affected staff member was not in close contact as defined by AHS with any of our clients.** Currently, the capacity in which we are able to remain available for our community is by having emergency care available through our sister clinic (and still providing 24-hour emergency care), and by offering prescription refills and food by delivery to our Cold Lake clients. This has only been possible because of the measures that have been in place between our two clinics (and, not to brag, but of course because of our amazing team!!!) We thank you for your caring thoughts for our staff during this time and wish to thank you for showing compassion and patience with those who are holding the fort down during this time. We are blessed to have the best clients. <3 For emergency appointments, please call Bonnyville Vet Clinic at 780-826-2188. For prescription refills and food, please call the clinic on weekdays between 9 am and 4 pm, or send an email to [email protected]. Deliveries will be made daily after 4 pm. Anything received after 4 pm will be delivered the next weekday. Please do not leave messages on our machine, but call back or send an email. THANK YOU, Cold Lake, and stay safe.
