SURVEILLANCE ROUTIÈRE ACCRUE AUX ABORDS DES ÉCOLES La Ville de Shannon souhaite informer ses citoyens que des opérations de surveillance routière aux abords des... écoles Dollard-des-Ormeaux et Alexander-Wolff se multiplieront au cours des prochaines semaines, et ce, afin d’accroître la sécurité des élèves et des brigadiers scolaires des écoles situées sur le territoire de la Ville de Shannon. Afin d’assurer la sécurité des nombreux écoliers, le Service de la sécurité publique et les patrouilleurs de la Sûreté du Québec s’assureront que la signalisation en vigueur soit respectée. Ils seront notamment attentifs à l'application des règles de signalisation routière dans les débarcadères ainsi qu'au respect des limites de vitesse, des traverses piétonnières et des arrêts obligatoires. Il est à noter que les sanctions sont sévères pour les conducteurs qui contreviennent à la réglementation. Interdiction de stationner Nous vous rappelons que selon le Règlement N 592-18, il est interdit de stationner ou d’immobiliser un véhicule sur les chemins publics de la Ville de Shannon, 24 h/ 24 h, du 1er novembre 2018 au 15 avril 2019. INCREASED ROAD SURVEILLANCE AT SCHOOL LEVELS The City of Shannon wishes to inform its citizens that roadside surveillance operations near Dollard-des-Ormeaux and Alexander-Wolff schools will increase in the coming weeks, in order to increase the safety of students and school crossing guards on the territory of the City of Shannon. In order to ensure the safety of many schoolchildren, the Public Security Service and the patrol officers of the Sûreté du Québec will ensure that the signs in force are respected. They will be particularly attentive to the application of the rules of road signs in the landing stages as well as to the respect of the speed limits, the pedestrian crossings and the obligatory stops. It should be noted that penalties are severe for drivers who violate the regulations.
