The Centre for the Grief Journey 12.02.2021

A little gift for my Facebook friends. Our Coping with the Holidays video, meditation and articles are on the site at www.griefjourney.com , thanks to the great work of Sean. We had promised this for Monday, but we want you to be able to preview our Christmas programme early. PLEASE let as many people as possible know that this is available to help them with what may be a not-so-jolly COVID Christmas.

Christmas is coming and it will be a different one for most of us. At Grief Journey, we want to offer some support to everyone who has suffered a loss during this pandemic, whether that is the death of someone loved, loss of job, or the loss of companionship through social distancing. On Monday, at www.griefjourney.com , we will launch our Coping with Christmas programme, which will include a 30 minute video, plus a new article on Coping with a COVID Christmas. One of the sections is entitled ‘I’ll be HOME for Christmas with some practical and fun ideas about how we can make this season meaningful even while facing the restrictions of lockdown. I hope you will join us, and make this resource widely known to others. Let’s focus on what we CAN do rather than on what we CAN’T.

Thanks for all the positive comments on my new website at https//www.griefjourney.com . We have had a fantastic response, and already many agencies and businesses are linking to our site, which they are most welcome to do. Our only goal with this site is to reach as many grieving people as we can to offer comfiort and support, and we will appreciate YOUR help in making the site known and reaching out to more and more folks with the help they need. I will be starting a podcast soon, so watch out for that. AND, after November 25th, we will have our Coping with Christmas programme on line. Exciting days.

Follow me on Twitter ... it will give you something to think about.

Today, on my son Andrew’s birthday, I am announcing that NEXT Sunday, November 8th, which would have been my son Steve’s 45th birthday, we will officially launch the new Grief Journey website, which we are dedicating to his memory and to those who, like our family, grieve the loss of a loved one. We will have our launch at NOON Eastern Standard time (that is 5pm in the UK, and 9am in Western Canada, and 4am Monday in Australia (sorry!!) don’t worry we will record it!!!) We ...invite you to take a sneak peek at the site this week at http://www.griefjourney.com we are still tweaking a few things and please let us know if you spot anything that we have somehow overlooked. I will post more info about the official launch during the week. We have put many resources on the site, including my articles and writings, as well as all our videos produced over the years. Anyone who would like to link to our site is welcome to do so at no cost, and we will appreciate you all letting as many people you feel will benefit know about this comprehensive resource. This site is my gift to grieving people in memory of someone I loved dearly, and my hope is that we will be able to share it far and wide to help many others who grieve the loss of someone they loved.
