Centretown BUZZ 25.06.2021

The BUZZ is on the streets! If you live in Centretown, you should have received the paper in your mailbox this weekend as our volunteer team delivered it to homes & businesses around Centretown. https://centretownbuzz.com//read-the-march-2021-centreto/ If you didn't receive it by some mischance (and you're in Centretown) email [email protected] to see if we can get your address covered. Are you in a high rise or condo in Centretown? If you don't get the BUZZ - YOUR community paper covering your neighbourhood - in your mailroom, email [email protected] so we can arrange to get you copies for your building. We also have the BUZZ online where you can read it as a PDF or a flipbook (and as individual articles later this week.)

In the February Centretown BUZZ: It's your LAST CHANCE TODAY to comment on the City of Ottawa's Sidewalk Standards. Does the slope on sidewalks make it more difficult for your to walk or roll? Do you want flat sidewalks, rollercoaster sidewalks, or something else? Find out about the issues and how to make your views known in our story: https://centretownbuzz.com//sidewalks-flat-or-rollercoas/. Email your city councillor, too.

Been wondering where your January BUZZ was? WE're online only this month - but it's easy to read! Find us either as a PDF or as individual articles at centretownbuzz.com! This month: - improving Ottawa's snow performance - A hundred years ago, the horse was the undisputed king of the road when snow blocked Ottawa's roads. Robert Smythe has unearthed photos showing them in action.... - remembering Kerry Kaiser - Two monster skyscrapers have been proposed for O'Connor and Gilmour. Does their design meet the standard where they're "appreciated as much for their beauty as for their utility"? Jack Hanna disagrees in his analysis. - Need a bike? Cycle Salvation, a social enterprise that rejuvenates both bikes and people, will be back at 473 Bronson this year. We tell you how they rescue bikes and help get people back in the workforce. ... and lots more... See more
