Our gnomes are at it again!
Ontario cedar is on the left and west coast cedar is on the right. We know! Big difference! The Ontario cedar came from a farm close by. In Ontario we have dry, hot summers and not all evergreens love to be dry. ... The west coast cedar is shipped in from British Columbia. Evergreens love the cooler temperatures and rainfalls. West coast greens give you that beautiful, dark green, lush peice of cedar!

We got the garlic! Most galric in the grocery stores are treated to help maintain shelf life and are not suitable to plant in our area. If you want a beautiful crop next year- picking up galric from your local greenhouse or nursury is best!
We love when our employees take pride in their work!
A little fall clean up now, can make the world of difference next spring! Remove your annuals that have finished blooming and are looking less-than-fresh. It may seem cruel to dig out a plant, but they won’t last the winter and it’s a lot easier to dispose of them now rather than waiting until spring. It also gives the ground time to refresh before you plant again in the spring. Clean up garden debris. If you’ve had a vegetable or fruit crop this year, then clear out the... old plants and any fallen fruit from your yard. It will just rot and attract bugs or rodents. It’s a great time to till your vegetable garden and add some compost for next year! Rake and compost your leaves. This is especially true in the yard, as leaves can suffocate your grass all winter, leaving it brown and dead in the spring when you should be seeing regrowth. Prune your trees and hedges. Look for dead limbs or overgrown areas. Fall is a great time to prune and cut back your shrubs and trees! You will have all new growth the coming spring. Fertilize your lawn. Get your yard ready for it’s long winter’s sleep with some high phosphorous fertilizer to give it a boost once it's warm! Mulch around the base of shrubs and perennials! This is important and will help insure they survive some of that freeze, then thawing, then freezing again. If your into Christmas arrangements, empty your planters to place new ones in. If you like to make your own, fill the pots up with new soil and place the large sticks in now before its frozen! Drain those garden hoses!!!
