Corey Dahlen has been an enigmatic and friendly fixture in Saskatoon’s live music scene on both sides of the stage for many years, appearing in bands such as Junior Pantherz, Ride Til Dawn, and The Modules, as well as his one-man cover band Brucey Ramone. For Got It Covered, Corey covered Democracy, a song that his own father recorded in the late-60s, only to fall into relative obscurity. The track’s subject matter was poignant for the day, ...and remains as topical as ever some 50 years later. Recorded with help from Clayton Linthicum (Kacy & Clayton) and Greg Reese (Ride Til Dawn), Democracy is a special time capsule of Saskatoon music.
