The Canada Revenue Agency is now in a position to introduce new measures for the 2020 tax year and will offer new tools, along with simplified forms, making the process as easy as possible for Canadians to claim home office expense deductions. The CRA will announce the details of the administrative solution and the new tools to claim work-space-in-the-home expenses on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. Effective Thursday, January 14, 2021at 12:01 a.m., the government is issuing a ...stay-at-home order requiring everyone to remain at home with exceptions for essential purposes, such as going to the grocery store or pharmacy, accessing health care services, for exercise or for essential work.
