Champ Returns Home The Campbellford Rebels have swung a trade with the Lakefield Chiefs to acquire Campbellford native + Schmalz Cup Champion, Dawson Turcott. Turcott will play his overage year with the REBS after spending the last 3 in Lakefield. GM, Tyler Revoy explained how "Turcott is a proven player in this league and you can’t teach the experience he has; He knows what it takes to win which is why he is so essential for us in building a successful season."... When asked, Dawson simply said how "coming home is something that [he's] always wanted. It wasn't easy leaving Campbellford after [his] time with the @campbellfordcolts but you go where the best opportunity lies. Born and raised in Norwood, Travis grew up on the ice. In his hockey career, Travis has won Eastern Ontario Novice and all Ontario finalists in Peewee and won all Ontario as the team captain during his Midget years. From there, Travis played on the Campbellford Rebels from 2015-17 and in his second year, was awarded defencemen of the year. Moving into the position of the team's trainer for the upcoming 2020-21 hockey season, Travis is eager to give back to the hockey club that has had such a great influence on him both personally and professionally.
