Remember Rodeo Royalty Day? Day four of CFR46, sponsored by RAM and the Government of Alberta, was dubbed Rodeo Royalty Day. The crowning of Miss Rodeo Canada and announcement of the 2019 Hall of Fame inductees prompted guests to sport their best purple attire for the day. CFR46 - Halloween and Day 3! The third day of the 46th Canadian Finals Rodeo marked the half way point in the six-day celebration, and embraced the spirit of Halloween with a western twist. Things got started early at 8 am in Agricentre East for the horsemanship portion of the Rising Stars Rodeo Queen Competition, sponsored by 90.5 Shine FM. Let's start the day by looking back on day 2 of CFR46. On Wednesday, October 20, 2019 day two of CFR 46, presented by Ram Trucks Canada, was Military & First Responders day. Who remembers opening day of CFR46? On Tuesday, October 29, 2019 the six-day celebration of western culture and entertainment began at Denny's Canada’ for their Kick-Off Charity Breakfast. Day one of CFR 46 was themed to celebrate the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association’s 75th Anniversary: History of Rodeo.... Things in Agri-Centre East heated up bright and early for the Miss Rodeo Canada Horsemanship Competition. All ve of the young ladies competing for the 2020 title demonstrated their horsemanship skills in front of the judges as one of the many components in the four day competition. The all-new Ultimate Cowboy Challenge was the rst event to stir up the dirt in the Centrium this morning. Local cowboy and CFR qualier, Ben Anderson, was able to take home the win with the help from his world champion Xtreme Cowboy Racer teammate, Teala Caton. The 2019 Ultimate Cowboy Challenge raised money in support of the Ty Pozzobon foundation. The morning’s Athlete Hot Stove in the Stockmens Pavilion kicked-off the entertainment lineup in the Trade Show. Host Ted Stovin was joined by world champion trio Zeke Thurston Professional Saddle Bronc Rider, Jeremy Buehler and Levi Simpson for an intimate chat about their sport. Shortly afterwards, Bull Riding qualiers helped kickoff the CFR pin trading in conjunction with their Autograph Session in the Exhibition Hall. CFR introduced 8 exclusive event pins to bring the pin trading tradition back to rodeo fans. In the dirt, Bareback rider Spur Lacasse captured the rst go round win of the week with a score of 87.25, while Brendan Laye takes Steer Wrestling with a time of 3.4. In the Team Roping Dawson and Dillon Graham edge Clay Ullery and Riley Warren by 0.01 second to win the round with a time of 3.9. Wearing the prestigious #1 back number, Zeke Thurston takes Saddle Bronc with a score of 87.00, While Haven Meged wins Tie-Down with a time of 8.2. Both seasons leaders in Ladies Barrel Racing and Bull Riding capture their go round; Justine Elliott with a time of 14.510 in Ladies Barrel Racing and Bull Rider, Edgar Durazo with a score of 87.25. The evening wrapped up with Doc Walker and Garrett Gregory on the TD Cabaret Stage in the CFR 46 Cabaret, presented by Home Building Centre.
