Homicide Arrest, Public Assistance: C20-171330 On July 21, 2020, at 5:45 a.m., Winnipeg Police responded to a shooting on the street in the 1000 block of Main... Street. An adult male was located suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital in critical condition. On July 23, 2020, the victim succumbed to his injuries while in hospital. The victim has been identified as Cody Alexander SLEIGH, 31. Originally from British Columbia, he had been residing in Winnipeg at the time of his death. On September 7, 2020, detectives from the Winnipeg Police Homicide Unit, with assistance from Williams Lake RCMP, arrested a suspect in the Sleigh’s murder. Kleon Cassidy POP, 32, was arrested in Williams Lake, BC, and returned to Winnipeg, where he was charged with First Degree Murder. Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a second suspect in this homicide. A Canada-wide arrest warrant for First Degree Murder has been issued for Dyllan PETRIN, 19. Petrin is 5’5 in height, medium build, with short dark hair. Petrin has a tattoo on his right forearm and a tattoo of Chinese characters on the left side of his neck. Petrin is believed to be in the south-central area of British Columbia. Dyllan Petrin is considered armed and dangerous and is not to be approached. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts can call Winnipeg Police Homicide investigators at 1-204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477). BC residents who may have information regarding Petrin are asked to call their local police service.
