Today members of CFUW Southport came together to say , "Hi, How are you doing? Missed you this summer. So glad to see you again!" The Welcome-Back Gathering, while held under cloudy skies was warm with friendship. Next week, book clubs start, scholarship meetings begin, dinner clubs meetings are being planned and we get ready to hear our program of speakers. This is going to be a GREAT year! If you think you'd like to join us, leave a comment below.
For our many book lovers in Southport, this looks like an amazing opportunity to see and hear from wonderful Canadian authors. Even though it says registration starts on Sept 1, I was able to register for Margaret McMillan's presentation on October 15. Check it out http://www.greenwood-centre-hudson.org/storyfest.html
