Together, we have been to the tops of mountains, the bottoms of creeks and face to face with a bear. 1) Ghetto has his own Instagram account now (@ghettothedog https://www.instagram.com/ghettothedog). It's more of a fun feed with behind-the-scenes from our adventures, candid iPhone shots and less of these big camera style photos. 2) My dog is my best buddy and he is awesome. Dear Waterfalls, please freeze so that I can climb you. Thanks. A lot of people might have started their countdown for Christmas, but for me, the countdown is the 4 more days until I get to go ice climbing with Yamnuska Mountain Adventures. In the meantime, here's a lazy throwback to a shot from Troll Falls earlier in the season, complete in full frame. Blakiston and Company | Tourism Canmore Kananaskis

Snow on the ground just means you have to work a little harder to reach your goals. I pushed Alya out of her comfort zone on this hike. Knee-deep snow, sub-zero temperatures, forging our own trail from memory and wind gusts that kept blinding us with snow. But she handled it all like a boss. Eventually she gave way to frozen toes and we had to descend just shy of the summit of Table Mountain, but we'll be back and she will kill it. #explorealberta Southwest Alberta | Blakiston and Company

My first blog post for Blakiston and Company is now up on their site. Go check it out, or don't, but you probably should anyhow.

Reflecting on partially frozen lakes at Waterton Lakes National Park. This is Alya at Goat Lake during our last trek of the season up to Avion Ridge (road access is closed now). I'm not going to write any more about Goat Lake because I've done so about 6,591 times this year, so instead I'll talk about how excited I am for December. During this month I'll be heading up to Canmore for two weekends, one weekend of avalanche safety training and one weekend for an ICE CLIMBING CLINIC! Hella excited to climb some ice. #explorealberta #explorecanada Southwest Alberta
