Who’s ready to taste some Chain Reaction wine??? We finally got our tasting room renovation permit approved! It has taken a lot to get to this point - lots of communication with the city since last fall. Our former Airbnb suite will become our new tasting room - at least for the short term. It's a very happy day here as Penticton city council has denied a zoning amendment change which would have allowed a massive subdivision on Campbell Mountain directly behind us here at Chain Reaction. The developer can only build to the existing property zoning which is more in keeping with the rural beauty of the Naramata bench. Tonight is a night to celebrate with your favorite Naramata bench wine!

Many of you have been asking when our wines will be ready for sale. I wish we had a better answer than we're targeting this spring (2021). But in order to sell our wines, we need a manufacturer's license. And in order to get that license, we need a production facility approved by various levels of government. Simple, right? For the next year, and possibly two years, we plan to make wine at the back of our property in a temporary 'quonset hut' winery that will eventually be...come a storage shed. The trick will be to construct this building and run the necessary utilities to it without breaking the bank because we would rather invest in our permanent winery. This will be a really modest 600 square foot steel building on a concrete slab which will serve us well as an interim facility. Once we're past the risk of frost in the next month or so, we will be working with our contractor to break ground and get this going! #chainreactionwine #naramatabench #bcwine #wine #okanaganwine #newwinery

This logo encapsulates our love of cycling, cleverly incorporates our initials and has Linda’s favorite color which coincidentally is also the color of grapes and wine! And it might just represent Joel going very fast on his triathlon bike We may still make a few tweaks to the logo (including another version adding Winery below Chain Reaction) but we it. It’s a new year and changes are coming! New logo and website!!! We started working on branding last winter. We designed our logo (which we love) but then we couldn’t agree on a font for Chain Reaction. We have literally downloaded several hundred fonts trying to find that one that we are madly in love with. Then we got busy with the vineyards and it fell to the back burner. Fast forward a year and it looks like we are much more in agreement - woo hoo! I (Linda) have also... been updating our website.
