Have you made it a habit to daily write down what you are grateful for? It might just be the one thing that keeps you smiling even when the world around us seems full of doom and gloom. The idea of keeping a gratitude journal is that you start each day by writing down all of the things you are grateful for from the small to the big and everything in between. Just 10 things that you can be grateful for right now. And seriously, just by writing "I am grateful for..." and then rereading it you become more in the habit of practicing gratitude and feeling gratitude, and it makes your mind sort of re-orient to seeing the positive in things rather than the negative. Just a thought :)

EVERYONE has doubts, fears, times of insecurity - POBODY'S NERFECT! We all need reassurance at points. Feel down about our progress and we all have a better and worse. Even if it may seem like others have all of the answers, never have a moment’s doubt about themselves - remember we are all human. And I really do totally get it when someone tells me there are feeling doubtful about all the hard work they are putting in and if it is really making a difference. You will always ...want to improve something. It’s human nature. Even if you reach the goal you think will make all the difference, even if you really like your results, you’re still going to have better and worse days. You’re still going to have times you wish you could change or improve something. You’re still emotionally human and have those insecurities. Being happy all of the time - feeling perfect - it just doesn’t exist. And I think we have to remember that we all have flaws - especially when we get a bit down about how things are going and start the comparing game. The grass is NOT always greener on the other side. And in particular in these days of social media please realize that what others post typically only shows one angle. It’s the cropped scrapbook quite often and not all of the hard work and struggles going on behind the scenes. Here are some thoughts that hopefully help you EMBRACE the process of change, loving your journey but always wanting MORE: # 1. Just being AWARE. I think admitting to our fears and doubts is key. Recognizing that they are THERE and real. We also need to recognize that with any positive quality comes a bit of a darker side. The more you want to strive to improve, the more you will get out of life BUT also the more you’ll have to quiet the internal doubts. The internal hater so to speak. #hatersgonnahate #2: Results will never happen fast enough nor be linear. You’re always going to be tempted to focus on the things that still aren’t there yet. You’re always going to feel like someone else got there faster. #slowdownsmellthecoffee #3: Don’t be afraid to admit your own insecurities. Too often we try to hide or bury negative emotions instead of dealing with them. I think sometimes admitting to the doubts and fears helps you face them and work through them. It even helps you change your thought processes behind them. #ownyourdoubts And then remember that sometimes you need to ACT AS IF. Confidence comes from knowing you’re doing what you can. Taking the right actions. Not from being perfect. And the more you start doing the habits of the person you want to be, the more you FEEL like that person and become that person!

One of my many goals is to blow all of the "getting older" myths out of the water! Don't use getting older as an excuse to slow down and smell the roses - know the facts and work smart so you can get to the coffee shop first to smell the coffee and eat all the buttertarts!!

Somebody wise said we should "Embrace the Suck" so that's what I am doing! If I can't open the studio for in-person classes then ZOOMing it is. Join me for either a MAC class (mobility-activation-core) or a Functional Strength class on Zoom for just $5 per class - no more EXCUSES just because covid19 sucks! Classes are at the following times - DM me for registration information: * MAC on Mondays @ 6:45pm... * Functional Strength on Tuesdays @ 12:45pm * MAC on Wednesdays @ 7:00am * Functional Strength on Thursdays @ 7:15am * MAC on Thursdays @ 5:30pm #embracethesuck #moreofyourbest

Starting a new challenge to kickstart changes for 2021 might seem like a win-win but is it really? Know your objective and know your long-term desire before you possibly sabotage your success with a 30-day challenge that doesn't support your goals and might even lead to injury or rebounding. Embrace change with a plan!

Kudos to everyone who took on the #D40 Challenge and congrats to all who succeeded! What better way to end the year than to show everyone you have got the stuff to overcome any challenge, even 1000 pushups!! It's time to say goodbye to 2020 and hello to 2021 - it's time to do more of your BEST!

C2C Training 07.12.2020

D40 Challenge is on! Simple - complete 40 hours of training and 1000 pushups in the month of December - that's it! Post your accomplishments and send updates as we go along - we all need some encouragement this December to stay positive! #D40 #C2CgoesforD40 #D40challengeaccepted #40hoursnoproblem #1000pushupsin31days #PeterSagancan

Baby it's cold outside and dark and snowy and there's covid19... here come the winter excuses that keep you from achieving your weekly training goals. Don't go there, instead accept the #D40 Challenge put out by CTS and now C2C! #D40 is a December Challenge to complete 40 hours of training (that's 10 hours per week) and 1000 pushups (that's 30 per day) before December 31st! You can count any training - rides, runs, strength, MAC, etc AND you can complete your pushups in chun...ks throughout the day (ie. they don't have to be done all at once). C2C has accepted the challenge, now whose with me?! #D40 #C2CgoesforD40 #D40challengeaccepted #40hoursnoproblem #1000pushupsin31days (see the challenge rules here and then start posting your photos https://trainright.com/2020-d40-december-fitness-challenge/)
