Due to the recent announcement by Alberta's Public Health and government officials to limit gatherings to 15 people, we are suspending Sunday in-person worship services indefinitely. Further details about live-streaming will be made available as soon as details are worked out.

Chalmers-Castle Downs United Church regularly supports a local home that provides for the needs of women and their children that have abruptly left unfortunate situations. For several years now we have provided Welcome Bags to the ladies when they arrive at the home so that they have personal items and things for their family. We also provide meals and gifts at occasions throughout the year. To continue our community work, we depend on donations from others who also feel that supporting a family in need will create a better future for everyone. Please contact our office anytime if you would like more information or to donate to this much appreciated initiative!

Our Lenten Project this year is Women's Agricultural and and Economic Empowerment in Honduras. Funds are being collected to: advance women’s rights, encourage greater economic self-sufficiency,... improve nutrition, increase biodiversity, environmental health and climate resilience in rural communities, improve livelihoods, and provide alternatives to migration. If this initiative is of interest to you, you would like more information, or would like to make a donation, please contact our office anytime! Thanks to everyone for your support of this worthwhile program! 100% of funds collected by Easter Sunday will be sent to Seed Change for distribution to the Coffee Production Training, increasing sesame production, and teaching agroforestry farming and avocado production.
