COVID-19 UPDATE. Yesterday, the government announced Phase One of the restoring of services to Manitobans. Part of this first phase includes the re-opening of all campgrounds (seasonal trailer parks, seasonal tent sites, etc.). As per government regulations, our campground can open on May 4th. There are some strict guidelines that we must follow as a business and are asking you, as patrons of our home and business to read below; ... * Businesses must maintain a single point of entry. As of right now, the entrance and exit will be at the same gate. * No more than 10 people may gather in common areas. Social distancing will apply. Congregation of large groups of people will be discouraged. As our office resides in our home, we ask that you ring the door bell and stay outside and wait for us to assist you while keeping a 6 foot distance. * At this time we will only be allowing campground access to registered campers. No visitors will be permitted. * Hand sanitizer will be available at entrance/exit for public use. * Main House (showers, laundry, washrooms) will be closed at this time to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. It isn’t feasible for us to maintain the level of cleanliness required. * Garbage area will be closed. Campers should try to minimize trash, and please take your trash home with you, or to the local transfer station. Trash cannot stay outside where animals can get at it. We are currently discussing a system that could work for our Seasonal guests. * Staff and campers may wear non-medical masks. * Cashless or no-contact payment should be used to the greatest extent possible. We will be accepting cheques and are working on fine tuning a cashless system. Please discuss payment options over the phone when booking Public health officials continue to advise Manitobans to stay home as much as possible to prevent the spread of COVID-19. When people do go out, they should take steps to maintain physical distancing. Do not travel if you or any of your family members require medical care or have symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing). If you must travel to your cottage or second residence, follow these guidelines: https://www.gov.mb.ca//en/coronavi/travellerscottages.pdf
