To our Champion Family! We appreciate all of those who have stood by us, and we look forward to seeing you in the New Year! We are freezing all memberships and ...their corresponding payments until we re-open, which is presumably January 12. 2020 was Champion Gym's 20th anniversary, and has been through several incarnations from what was originally a straight boxing gym with a long lineage back to the beginning of an extraordinary history of fight sports in the Peace Region, to the most diverse and accomplished multi-sport fitness facility in the Peace Region and beyond. Champion Gym has also been through some rocky times, so to speak, but if anything makes us grow it was challenges like this year with the support of our members, staff, coaches and community at large. Over the next month, we will be continuing to improve our internal programming, and hosting free, members only, outdoor martial arts, boxing and fitness classes (max 10 per group, distanced) with big screen visuals and music. We will also provide online lessons to your respective groups (join https://www.facebook.com/groups/1668242730094285/ for updates) as well as one on one Coach/Athlete training as set out in Part 8, Section 7 of CMOH Order 42-2020. Lastly, Christmas can be an unusually difficult time for some, and we extend our hand to those alone who need anything even if just to chat through a hard time. Please message us any time. As per our fearless leader Raphael Bergmann a new update!!!!!! Just spoke with the health inspector and all of our changes are in compliance with the new restrictions. We have no classes per se, however clients are welcome to come in and go through their individual exercises from one station to another in a circuit format. A highly visible and identifiable Safety Supervisor will ensure all standards are met, from staying within the social distancing markers to sanitizing high... contact surfaces and ensuring technique is executed properly to avoid any injury potential. The stations with high contact surfaces will have Health Canada approved hand sanitizer available between them. Only Boxing will have a slight change in schedule to accommodate the client numbers relative to the space. Boxing will be schedule formatted as follows: A: 5-5:45 pm; Junior Champions Boxing (6-10) B: 5:55-6:40 pm; Champion Youth Boxing (11-16) C: 6:50-7:35 pm; Champion Youth Boxing (11-16) D: 7:45-8:30 pm; Adult Boxing (17+) We appreciate your patience as we do the best that we can to pivot on such short notice.
