Morning, everyone! Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I took the morning off for a doctor's appointment and the afternoon was quite busy. Today's piece is "Matsuri Madness," depicting one of the many vendor stalls set up in tidy rows near Sensouji (a large and impressive temple) during Sanja Matsuri, a major festival that happened while we were there in May. Morning, everyone! In "honour" of the fireworks everyone was setting off outside my window last night, have some explosive callistemon blossoms! Also known as Melaleuca viminalis (drooping bottlebrush), these beautiful flowering trees are native to Australia, but also dotted the street-sides of Tokyo when I was there in May. Some of them even smelled nice when you got close enough.
