TUESDAY NOVEMBER 24, 2020 18 Come now, let us settle the matter, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;... though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. ISAIAH 1:18 As we come upon the Christmas season, let us remember why Jesus came to earth. He came to set us free, to make us spiritually clean. If you have not asked the Lord into your life as your personal Saviour, now is the time. It is easy. Just ask Him! See more

In a very wide sphere of observation, I have noticed that the most generous Christians of my acquaintance have been always the most happy, and almost invariably the most prosperous. Charles H Spurgeon

October 15, 2020 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 Renew ~ to restore, begin again, rejuvenate, restore, rebuild, update... God does all of these things when He renews our minds. Give your life to Him, and you will be amazed as to the places He takes you.

Just the pick me up I needed to hear today.

Monday November 22, 2020 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100: 4, 5 Amen. The Lord is good. He loves us so much. If anyone is going through a hard time with the lack of human contact, remember that God is right there with you. Call out to Him, bring praise to His name and He will bring you comfort and fellowship.

HOW THE APOSTLES DIED. 1. Matthew. Suffered martyrdom in Ethiopia, Killed by a sword wound. 2. Mark. Died in Alexandria, Egypt , after being dragged by Horses t...hrough the streets until he was dead. 3. Luke. Was hanged in Greece as a result of his tremendous Preaching to the lost. 4. John. Faced martyrdom when he was boiled in huge Basin of boiling oil during a wave of persecution In Rome. However, he was miraculously delivered From death. John was then sentenced to the mines on the prison Island of Patmos. He wrote his prophetic Book of Revelation on Patmos . The apostle John was later freed and returned to serve As Bishop of Edessa in modern Turkey . He died as an old man, the only apostle to die peacefully 5. Peter. He was crucified upside down on an x shaped cross. According to church tradition it was because he told his tormentors that he felt unworthy to die In the same way that Jesus Christ had died. 6. James. The leader of the church in Jerusalem , was thrown over a hundred feet down from the southeast pinnacle of the Temple when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. When they discovered that he survived the fall, his enemies beat James to death with a fuller's club. This was the same pinnacle where Satan had taken Jesus during the Temptation. 7. James the Son of Zebedee was a fisherman by trade when Jesus Called him to a lifetime of ministry. As a strong leader of the church, James was beheaded at Jerusalem. The Roman officer who guarded James watched amazed as James defended his faith at his trial. Later, the officer Walked beside James to the place of execution. Overcome by conviction, he declared his new faith to the judge and Knelt beside James to accept beheading as a Christian. 8. Bartholomew. Also known as Nathaniel. He Was a missionary to Asia. He witnessed for our Lord in present day Turkey. Bartholomew was martyred for his preaching in Armenia where he was flayed to death by a whip. 9. Andrew. He Was crucified on an x-shaped cross in Patras, Greece. After being whipped severely by seven soldiers they tied his body to the cross with cords to prolong his agony. His followers reported that, when he was led toward the cross, Andrew saluted it in these words, "I have long desired and expected this happy hour. The cross has been consecrated by the body of Christ hanging on it". He continued to preach to his tormentors For two days until he expired. 10. Thomas. He Was stabbed with a spear in India during one of his missionary trips to establish the church in the Subcontinent. 11. Jude. He Was killed with arrows when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. 12. Matthias. The apostle chosen to replace the traitor Judas Iscariot. He was stoned and then beheaded. 13. Paul. He Was tortured and then beheaded by the evil Emperor Nero at Rome in A.D. 67. Paul endured a lengthy imprisonment, which allowed him to write his many epistles to the churches he had formed throughout the Roman Empire. These letters, which taught many of the foundational Doctrines of Christianity, form a large portion of the New Testament. Perhaps this is a reminder to us that our sufferings here are indeed minor to compare to the intense persecution and cold cruelty faced by the apostles and disciples during their times For the sake of the Faith. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: But he that endureth to the end shall be saved. Pass on to encourage other Christians. Why Do we feel sleepy in Prayer, but stay awake through a 3 hour movie? Why are we so bored when we look at the HOLY BOOK. But find it easy to read other books? Why is it so easy to ignore a message about God, Yet we forward the nasty ones? Why are Prayers getting smaller, but bars and clubs are expanding. Why is it so easy to worship a celebrity, but very difficult to engage with God? Make this message your contribution to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

October 14, 2020 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 Don’t be afraid of the future. COVID is in God’s plans ...for He works all things for our good. It has reunited families and helped us to put aside our hectic life schedules and just relax.

October 8, 2020 A Psalm of David when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. I don’t know how your day is starting today, but I know for myself I have to start with my devotions. Otherwise the whole day is a loss for me. So early, and sometimes earlier than others, I seek Him and His will for the day. Long for him!

October 7,2020 Give to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come into His courts. Psalm 96:8 Thank you to everyone who has been faithful in your offerings to the church. I know for many people it has been a very hard time financially, as it has been for the church. But God is faithful and He has miraculously pulled us through.

Friday Oct 23, 2020 Luke 10 : 38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said.40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me! 41 Martha, Martha, the Lord answered, you ...are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are neededor indeed only one Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her. This week has been fairly busy for me and I am once again reminded of the story of Mary and Martha. Both men and women get distracted by caring for our normal duties in life. Don’t let them take the place of the time you spend with Jesus. See more

October 22, 2020 34 Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem. 2 And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the ways of his father David; he did notturn aside to the right hand or to the left. 3 For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was still young, he began to seek the God of his father David; and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the [a]high places, the wooden images, the carved images, and the molded images. 2 Chronicles 34 : 1- 3 Do you have a child or a grandchild that you are sensing by God’s spirit that he/she is being called by God for a special assignment. They are never too young to be called by God. The prophet Samuel was very young when God called him.

Wednesday Oct 21st, 2020 4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3: 4-7 You can never do enough good works to justify yourself. It is only by God’s grace we are washed and made clean.

October 5, 2020 Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Isaiah 55:6 18 Come now, let us settle the matter, says the Lord.... Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. Isaiah 1:18 As we come up to a national holiday next weekend let us think about things we can be thankful. First and foremost I am thankful for the provision God has made for his people. Think about turning your life over to Him. See more

Anyone out there praying for your loved ones, hang in there. In His perfect timing they will come. I remember once in the middle of the night getting a phone call from one of my children. This child was calling from a bar and had one sentence for me : "Leave me alone." Everywhere I go there are Christians talking to me about the Saviour. I can't get away from your prayers!!
