Social media posts shouldn’t bring on a wave of stress. Just saying A huge part of planning content includes written copy of course but the other part is VISUALS (photo or video). Instagram is a visual platform after all. Building a library or a bank of images (on a hard drive or a folder on your phone) can be hugely helpful when you are trying to plan your monthly content. ... I love including a mixture of iPhone snaps/video, images taken on my DSLR camera as well as curating other posts for my feed and stories. It all comes down to preference but I find it helps me be ‘less precious’ with my content and JUST GET IT OUT THERE vs thinking endlessly about which photo to post and then never doing it. Take action, make it happen, right!? Easier said than done for many who feel they might not be capable of producing the images they want to create their desired aesthetic or message to their audience. This is where I can help. Well it’s been a minute!! . All of a sudden life got a bit crazy. But we have moved and with the looming lockdown, it seems like we did everything just in time. .... Yesterday I took a big breath and recharged, and besides some preplanned content, I couldn’t bare to look at a screen for too long. Today I went to see @allie_r_dean and my favourite Dex and all of a sudden I’m out of my tired funk - this nose is just what I needed to see to get me back in the holiday spirit (so #boopable !!) I have missed this sassy man, it’s safe to say he’s looking as handsome as ever . To top off my perfect bay boy day, Dodo got some treats and cuddles as well. WINTER RIDING Okay to all of my equestrian professionals, this is your time to shine . The majority of riders with access to an indoor, experiencing Canadian winter are currently spending (at least) a few rides a week in an arena... and they are already feeling the boredom. Why not share your favourite grids/ exercises/ lessons with your following? Tip: these posts are most successful when you do the following:... Include a video explaining the exercise (can be a voiceover) Include a video of someone completing the exercise (I like it when it’s shown a few times including any errors that are made - shows we are all human!!) Include a drawn diagram of the set up (poles, jumps etc) so you can get others to try and let you know how it goes! Everyone loves a #tuesdaytip from the Social Pony himself ) I think it’s important to remember that while you may have a certain amount of followers on Instagram and Facebook, not everyone is going to see everything you post Keep this in mind when creating your content from month to month. You can circle back to ideas/ concepts/ information (with different copy of course). Instagram posts don’t have an incredibly long shelf life so I think c...oming back to important themes for your business/ brand including introductions is crucial for your audience.
