I pushed myself for this session! We ended up starting about half an hour later than we originally wanted, which I'll be honest, scared me a bit; we were losing light fast! But we were rewarded with the dreamiest, warm, hazy sky! I've never shot in light conditions quite like this, but these are now some of my FAVOURITE photos!! I know it's not ideal to keep your kids up past bedtime, trust me, I have 2 (soon to be 3) of my own! I get it! But it's so incredibly worth pushing naps around and doing what we have to do to get the best light! On a side note: Happy Birthday to this beautiful, wonderful friend of mine!

Just sent out this gorgeous gallery I can't wait for Eric and Nicole's big day next year!! Also, I'm almost caught up on my editing!!! I'm trying really hard this year to stay caught up with my maternity leave only a month and a half away! On that note, I am currently completely booked up until sometime next spring! I'll post details when I have a better idea when I'll be back, but I just wanted to say thank you! Thank you to my wonderful clients for your patience, understanding, love, and support this crazy year! You all mean so much to me, and I am so blessed to have your support!

Loved having the opportunity to catch up with this lovely family and meet their kids yesterday evening! And the sunset on the beach did NOT disappoint!

Discovered a new love for Sitter Sessions last night Elleri was an absolute doll, full of smiles and giggles, even thought we were quickly approaching bedtime! I think next year when I am back from Maternity leave, I will have to offer more of these sessions! Also, how cute is that little bed my dad made for me??

Happy Saturday! Couples who work with me know I use a combination of posing and prompts during my sessions. I've known Maddy almost my entire life, so I felt comfortable trying out some new prompts with her and her fiancé, Matt, and boy did they get into it! I can honestly say last night's session with them at @harrisflowerfarm was one of my most fun sessions to date! I can't wait for their wedding next year to get these two behind my camera again!

As a mom, I know how the day of your session goes. A checklist is running through your mind all day and if even one thing doesn't go according to plan, that means the whole experience is ruined. You won't get good photos and everyone will be in a terrible mood! Trust me, I've been there. MANY times. But hear me out. Kids are little mirrors. If you are stressed out, they will play off of that, pushing back on the little things that will make you stress out more! I want to chal...lenge you for your next session. Let the little things go! Little Jackson here napped for the first half of their session, and guess what? Their session still went smoothly and I'm in LOVE with their gallery! So what if your kids don't eat all their dinner beforehand? They might be a little hungry, but chances are they will be so distracted by the fun and games we do during photos that that hour will fly by and they won't even notice! So take a breath, mama! Take a breath and let it go! Have fun with the experience and know those little things aren't worth the stress! We can still get beautiful photos amid the chaos! See more
