So thankful my dad could come help me put up the new mural in my office today! If we can't go on vacation, I say make our everyday office space feel like a relaxing getaway. Hopefully my clients enjoy it as well :)
It's going to be a great month :)
Today is the day!! Officially moved over to 196 Queen st! Looking forward to the next chapter of my massage therapy career :)
Let's help make a difference CK!
Lest we forget the strong men and women who have served and fought for our freedoms and for peace.
Happy Friday everyone, Remember to be kind to your spine. Do you suffer from chronic back pain? Book an appointment with a regulated healthcare provider!
A good reminder of the benefits of massage for healthy backs!
Loving my new set up at work. So warm and cozy :) booking into the middle of September, if you are in need of an appointment book soon!
Attention all clients, As you may have heard, RMTs are able to gradually restart massage therapy services. I plan to return to practice tomorrow, June 15, 2020. I will be returning on a gradual basis, first prioritizing patients with urgent treatment needs, and I will be doing fewer treatments per day than I normally would. This is so I am able to reopen in a safe and measured way, keeping your health my top priority.... Policies and Procedures- I have implemented many new policies and procedures, based on the guidance of my regulator, the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, and the Ministry of Health in order to keep my patients as safe as possible. This includes enhanced COVID-19 screening procedures, increased cleaning and disinfecting, focusing on hand hygiene and altering my clinic space, as well as wearing a mask throughout the treatment and asking patients to do the same. Your First Appointment- To make your first appointment during the COVID-19 pandemic as stress-free as possible, and to make things a bit less overwhelming, I wanted to share this guideline created by the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario outlining what you can expect. My priority will always be keeping my patients safe, and I will help guide you through all of the new policies and procedures so you can feel as safe as possible when you come in for a treatment. Once you have booked an appointment, I will screen you virtually for COVID-19 as well as send you a reminder of what you need to bring and what you need to do once you arrive. If you have any questions or concerns, I would be happy to help in any way possible. Thank you! I appreciate the support and understanding of my patients during this unprecedented time, and I appreciate your patience as we all navigate this new reality. I look forward to welcoming you back to my clinic as safely as possible once you’re ready to book an appointment! I will continue to keep you up to date on any new requirements and safety precautions I have taken as this pandemic continues to evolve.
Here is some info about what to expect when I return to work. I'm aiming to start seeing clients the week of June 15th. I'll be contacting people next week to start to book appointments if all goes as planned. Stay safe everyone!! https://rmtao.com//what-to-expect-from-your-massage-therap
Finally some good news!!! At 9pm last night, RMT'S in Ontario were contacted by our provincial association to advise us that we would be allowed to gradually resume services- starting with those needing emergency care. There is still lots of information to process, procedures to implement and follow, training to complete and PPE/cleaning supplies to acquire. Believe me I am going to start seeing clients as soon as I can, but I am not ready quite yet. ... Stay tuned as things change quickly and hopefully I will be back helping people feel better soon!!
Just wanted to update everyone that RMT's are still waiting to find out if we will be included in phase 2 or 3 of the reopening of Ontario. They released a draft set of guidelines and I can tell you there will be some changes when we return to our new normal but it will be to keep everyone even more safe during their treatments. I can't wait until I can get back to working and help everyone feel better again! Stay safe and healthy my friends!

Some great tips on reducing tension and staying healthy at home
Just got official word from the CMTO that they recommend suspending any non-essential massage therapy services.
In the interest of public safety, to maintain the recommended social distance and to avoid any non essential/emergency services (as is currently recommended by the college of massage therapists of Ontario, dentist's, optometrists, doctors and chiropractors as well), I will be cancelling all Massage therapy appointments for at least three next three weeks to be help flatten the curve and do my part to prevent the spread of this virus. Stay healthy and safe everyone!
