Put some time in on the 1972 GMC pickup I started rust repair on over the winter, the customer decided he wanted to blast and paint the chassis and running gear and do a kind of restoration on the truck as it was taken so far apart, so got the chassis blasted and rented the spray booth at Jacks custom restoration in cobble hill (JCR) @elilayfield44 for the day so I could prime and paint it today, it turned out way nicer than I was planning for this job, I might have gone slightly too high end for the customer! but it looks awesome so I doubt he will be disappointed! #1972GMC #GMCpickup #Classischevypickup #HotRodShop #custom #RustRepair #chemainus #CowichValley #welding #Fabrication

At the inspection facility sitting next to a brand new $210,000 big rig

Had a great day yesterday in the roadster, it breezed through inspection first thing in the morning, then I ripped over to get insurance and the registration, then I felt like going on a bit of a longer trip In it as I had really only driven it here and there locally for the last few weeks on and off, so figured driving it down to Victoria was a good idea which it was, met up with some old hotrod buddy’s and family down there and drove back early evening, (might have ran... out of gas in the Shawnigan area) luckily my wife was following me as she was also on her way back from Langford the day was so perfect the for the first time I actually laughed when I ran out of gas and wasn’t even slightly annoyed, then from being delayed about 40 minutes meant cruising the rest of the way home in one of the most amazing mountain filled sunsets I’ve seen in a while all in all an awesome day and want to do it again soon minus running out of gas! Overall very happy with how the roadster performed, Next I think I’m going to head to the old San Cobble raceway as I haven’t yet had the chance to go there, so might need some direction getting there I’m sure it’s easy I just don’t know the road names to follow #hotrod #roadster #modelTroadster #lakes #modified #lowslungT #carbuilder #hotrodshop #cowichanvalley #chemainusbc See more
