For those of you who never knew, my background in Aromatherapy combined with my training in culinary at Le Cordon Bleu has taught me something that is amazing, ...even to me, and that is the ability to combine certain ingredients and somehow end up with something I was aiming for. I always used to practically die of anxiety when it was exam time, where we were made to memorize 200 recipes only to pick from a jar just 1 where we would be graded for. I remember thinking wtf? What was the point of that? Well 20 years later, I figured it out. It was to train our brain to function at extreme pressure and sure enough, I can now read a random recipe with 20 ingredients and remember in detail how to cook it ( yet I still can't remember to pay my bills on time) . Go figure! Well, because of this, the art of food combination or ingredient mixtures allows me to play with variations of oils and scents without having to waste a exorbitant amount of expensive essential oils. Thank God ....because I ain't no Jo Malone with infinite access to Estee Lauder's lab! Good Morning my Amazing Clients! I just wanted to chat about Covid protocols & procedures & wanted to reassure those who have reservations about coming to get t...reatments done. Rest assured, if there is a place safe to have your appointments, smaller & less crowded is the place to be. I always wear a mask & so do my clients. I'm so lucky! Everyone is so good! I've blocked off the rest of my home because I have to and spend a fortune on cleaning products! I do the cleaning myself to be certain that everything is up to standards. I am going a little overboard and actually steam the floors from top to bottom. everything gets wiped down over & over before & after clients, beddings changed for every client no matter what service. Bathroom is cleaned and checked before & after each client and wiped down with a medical grade sanitizer I am advised to use. All equipment cleaned thoroughly after each use and towels are laundered daily. I actually spend more time focusing on sanitizing everything every time that to be honest, amount of clients who can book in has definitely suffered. Despite less clients for services, I AM dead tired from just the cleaning & up & down the stairs. It is what it is and we just have to learn to live with Covid. Wash hands thoroughly when you enter and sanitizer and alcohol and hand soap is provided for you always. If you don't have a mask with you because you've lost it or forgotten, don't worry, I have the N95 s and will provide one for you. All clients are required to remove their clothing when in for multiple services due to hygiene and dirty clothes. The facial bed will now be separate from the hair removal bed and products are purchased in smaller quantities to minimize contamination. Skin consultations are now done online & virtually and ifs so just book in with me should you need one. I have jugs & jugs of 70% alcohol and 99% as well and use Cavicide for everything else...including my garage. Yup...I therefore sleep at 4 in the morning to make sure that everything is ready for next day. It's my therapy as well so don't feel bad for me. I just need my clients to be healthy & definitely do not want to be the source of contamination & sickness because this is my bread & butter and if that happens, I am going to be in trouble in may ways. I am having trouble with mothers leaving their younger child with me so it is what it is. I find it strange that we are allowed up to 10 people at home yet only one client at a time. Having said that, mothers need to come with masks along with their young teen and must sit in one chair the whole time and not walk around & touch everything. I'm sorry this has to be the way it is. Not my rules & I don't really want to get sick. As you all know, I am a single mother so if I get sick, I will get closed down and also my kids rely on me to live like crazy rich asians. I will have a table for you just as you head downstairs where you will place your personal belongings. Your bags & phones, etc. I did designate the front closet for everything but people parting with their personal belongings is tough. So, the minute you head down, there is the glass bar where you will place your stuff. There are also 2-3 types of sanitizers you are free to use. There really is nothing else we can do but remain vigilant and cautious, wash our hands often and stay away from large crowds for now and wear masks. We have to live with Covid, YES but we also really shouldn't stop living because of it. Stay healthy! I thank you all lovely ladies for being amazing as always! I promise you I will never put anyone's health & life at risk by cutting corners & not cleaning properly. Hello Dear Clients! Just a few questions:) 1. For those who purchased my Sugar Me DIY sugar kits..I'd like your feedback please. Other than being hairy, what ar...e the other reasons, if any, why you purchased this particular one and not the store bought one? 2. If you had a delivery service every few months depending on your needs and an accompanied new tutorial link about hair removal etc. , would that make DIY less daunting? 3. If I had a blog with honest and simple topics not only on hair removal, but skin in general, a lesson in active ingredients so you can be shop savvy, sun protection, what to save money on when it comes to spa treatments and what to splurge on from an insider like me, would that interest you? 4. What about a blog helping your teens develop skincare habits that will help them develop their self esteem & confidence and save YOU money, would you be relieved since teens dont listen to their parents but put a stranger on YouTube and they will? 5. If I formulated skin care masques not only for your face but also your bikini area, would you take the time to actually do it if it means, more beautiful skin and less anxiety on what to do? 6. If my prices for my sugar wax was a few dollars more than the one other out in the market (only to be ordered online) came with a questionnaire on what your concerns are for that particular month and then offered suggestions and variety and we packaged & customized it to help you, would you mind paying the extra few dollars for it? The reason for these questions is to help me determine which direction to take. Our needs pre-Covid is way different now. Most are on reduced income so who has $100 to spend on stuff like that when you can attain specific I instructions from yor trusted aesthetician ( that would be ME of course) thus saving not only money but time such as travel time, convenience..esp when difficult to get in with me, plus insider information on the business, wax hacks, do's and dont's - I will tell you like it is with no ulterior motives to sell but just to help, would you consider it or rather come to me before you shut your vagina and bum together???? Last but not least..let us brainstorm..what are some of the topics or things you would like to see that will make you sit and actually take the time to read it? Don't get me wrong, by all means come in for your brazilian but how about you save on having your upper lip or lower legs sugared professionally and save that extra $55 on something for yourself or your family? I'd love your feedback please. Say whatever you wish. Good or bad, I take constructive criticism quite well and most times, some suggestions are ones I never even thought of!!!! Dear Clients...now after much uncertainty for those in my industry..NOW we're allowed to open by Friday....well..I'm not ready! Gahhhhh.. however, I will openTu...esday June 30th, July 2nd, 3rd, 7, 8, 9, 10th & 14th BUT SPECIFICALLY ONLY for Sugaring/Waxing Hair Removal!!! We are not yet allowed to perform Skin Treatments such as facials & actually NOT even Eyebrow Waxing is allowed. Please come alone and wearing a mask already. The front closet will be vacant of any personal belongings and will be designated for the client only. It will be sanitized & sprayed properly. The door will be locked so do not worry about the safety of your belongings. You then have to proceed to the powder room where hand soaps, wipes, sanitizer & disposable towels will be provided. As in my previous post, I will no longer be accepting younger clients because the parents usually hangout and wait. If for any reason this is bent, the parent has to wait in the car. I am sorry but not my rules. This is to prevent any contamination to anything and there will be no seats or waiting area provided. It kills me because I want my clients to always be comfortable but I also want everyone to be Covid free! So book in you SASQUATCHES...lol...I am afraid to see what cannot be unseen!!! Yay!
