Tired of your foundation looking dry & cakey? Here are some great tips! 1 Have a good skincare routine & stick to it! Wait a couple minutes to let it absorb before moving onto makeup. Depending on your skin type, this will include effective hydrating and/or moisturizing products, as well are regular exfoliation of 1-3x a week (get rid of that dead skin sitting on the surface that your foundation is sticking to)! Hydrating and moisturizing masks 1-3x a week are great... additions as well. If your skin is oily & your foundation looks shiny throughout the day, try light, oil-free hydrators like belif Aqua Bomb the True Cream, which have added pore-minimizing benefits. If your skin is drier, include products with glycerin, ceramide, hyaluronic acid, oils & butters. For dry to very dry skin, facial oils on top of your face cream can add a beautiful glow, while providing the added nourishment under your makeup. 2 If your skin is dry, a liquid foundation will appear the most natural, even better with a hydrating primer on underneath and setting spray or mist on top! Try the belif x VDL Fix & Mist or the belif Aqua Bomb Mist! 3 I know we always say skincare goes BEFORE makeup, but if you've applied your foundation and still see some dry patches, try dabbing a bit of your moisturizer on top of that dry area (we're not talking re-applying a full face cream on top of foundation). 4 Consider your application- Do you apply your foundation with a brush or your hands? While tinted moisturizers like Magix Tint may benefit from the warmth of the hands, for a foundation, try using a damp sponge with a dabbing technique for flawless blending #gamechanger! Also, remember when it comes to makeup, less is more.
