Charmed Playhouses

This little table might be my favourite vintage purchase ever. I bought it from the original owner who received it as a gift at the age of 6 in 1948. I told her how sought-after mid-century pieces are for my generation and she was so happy to see it go to someone who loved it. I see it going in one of our cottages at the campground. I’ll know where it fits when the time comes. I’m glad we got to capture Lydia’s unicorn (alicorn) costume in the meantime. We have 2 Rapunzel projects in the shop and can’t wait to show you them all done. At home, it’s all about Halloween prep for kids right now. Not sure what we’re doing yet but there will be costumes! Photo @kyla.something

The snow has arrived in our part of Canada and it’s time to begin our winter break from Midsummer Cottage. Our hearts are full of thank you’s to everyone who booked, visited, shared our dreams on social, booked again, gave encouraging words, showed us your beautiful photos, begged to sign up for next year and (yep) even booked a third stay. Our hopes of creating a space where families like us can feel like they jumped into their favourite story book were met with so much enthusiasm, all we want to do is keep going.
