Having had religiously gotten my lashes done for the last 2 years, I've definitely experienced a few seasons of lash sheds. Recently the shed has becoming much more prominent, but that's probably due to being pregnant (lashes have been growing at lightning speed haha). But believe it or not, season shed definitely is a thing and it happens differently for everyone. Just like our skin, as the climate and temperature changes around us, it causes changes for our biolog...ical cells - which includes our lashes! This is also the case for a lot of people that go through seasonal allergies. Of course other factors also come into play when it comes to lash shedding - such as diet and lifestyle, to name a few. It's all apart of the lash life cycle. Lashes grow out (telogen) to make room for new baby lashes (anagen) and keep growing (catagen) again until it sheds and the cycle repeats again. This is why refills are important. Most regular refills are recommended between 2-3 weeks from your lash fill/set. In my refill sessions, I always do a full inspection of what has been grown out and clean up any lashes that are at the end of its retention. But because I understand that some clients may need sooner touch ups (opposed of the regular 2-3 weeks fill), I also offer Mini-Refills as part of my services. These mini fills are intended for quick touch ups between 1-2 weeks of our last appointment. Make sure you're booking your refills in time to keep those lashes looking full and fluffy!
