Exciting news! Today we got possession of a new location where we are building a new and larger office. We are staying in the village! We are taking over the Remax building on No. 1 Road and hoping to move in by March 2021.

It’s not Dr. C’s birthday yet but the ladies had a surprise for him today and it included a song and a cake.

A good news story is needed for these times. This is Renée and this is her story in 2020 before this Corona virus took over. She was born with many missing adult teeth. These are pictures she took during our journey so far to give her the smile she deserves. Looking forward to getting back to our craft once epidemiologists can give us the all clear. In the meantime stay home and stop the spread

We are working hard to get ready to reopen for phase 2 elective dental treatment that should not be delayed. Our target date to reopen slowly is June 16. We are steadily training staff, fine tuning office protocols, and ensuring safety for everyone. We will continue, as we have for more than 5 weeks, to triage and treat emergencies. Here is a letter from an oral surgeon in Kelowna as he sees the state of dentistry for the foreseeable future. Our staff have been laid off and we are examining closely what a true dental emergency is in the midst of this COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Cadigan will be available by telephone but this letter should provide some guidance to our patients as to how we are managing our practice at this time.

COVID 19 Update: In light of recent developments with the COVID-19 pandemic, for the week March 17-21, Chatham Dental Centre will be only handling urgent dental needs. That means if you have a cleaning this week with our hygienist it is being postponed. We are monitoring the situation closely and if your appointment is affected our front desk will reach out during office hours to reschedule your appointment.

The weekend: Friday Dr. James has the privilege to present the Dr. Paul Rondeau Humanitarian Award to Dr. Bhasker N. Thakore celebrating his and his family’s lifelong charitable work both locally and internationally. Saturday Dr. James performed a lateral window sinus lift and implant placement under supervision of his mentor Dr. Mark Kwon. Sunday we celebrated 10 years at Chatham Dental Centre. So much gratitude for the work we get to do and the humble colleagues we get to share it with. To our patients and friends thank you for your continued support as we continue to invest in making your dental experiences better.
