Chatham Goodfellows 08.10.2020

Chatham Goodfellows wants to thank past volunteers for the tremendous gift of their time and commitment for our excellent cause. Unfortunately, this year volunteers will be limited due to COVID restrictions. We hope that all past volunteers will maintain their enthusiasm for No Child Without A Christmas and be ready to help again next year.

Do you have donations for the Chatham Goodfellows? Goodfellows is planning two weekends, one in November and one in December, when people can drop off toys and non-perishable food. Donors will drive to a central location and simply pop their trunks to allow volunteers to safely remove the goods while respecting social distancing.

From all of us at Chatham Goodfellows we hope you had a great Thanksgiving. As we move into the Christmas season let's ensure that all of Chatham-Kent has a memorable Christmas. Please give generously. Our first donation event is October 24 & 25 from 9:00am-3:00pm at our Drop-off Location: Off of Bloomfield Rd, North of Greenfield Ethanol, across from Truly Green Greenhouses. Look for signs! We ask that you stay in your vehicle, pop your trunk and let our volunteers take your food and toy donations safely. We are practicing all of the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of Covid-19 while still committing to ensuring no child goes without this Christmas!

As Chatham Goodfellows launches their 66th No Child Without a Christmas campaign, we are reaching out to the community for support. It is clear that the impact of COVID-19 will be that Chatham Goodfellows will not be able to fundraise and collect goods through the traditional Porchlight & Street Sales Campaigns. Thank you for following along with Chatham Goodfellows. This year, more than ever, we need your help. Announcing our 66th No Child Without a Christmas campaign. As previously announced, due to COVID-19 restrictions, Chatham Goodfellows will not be able to fundraise and collect goods through the traditional Porchlight & Street Sales Campaigns because we cannot safely and consistently socially distance while taking cash donations from people at store entrances or collecting food, toys and money from front porches. Welcome to Chatham Goodfellows official Facebook and Instagram page! Please follow along for information about this year’s No Child Without a Christmas, our 66th year. Since 1954, Christmas in Chatham has been a little happier for some local children and families in need. That’s when Chatham Goodfellows embarked on its campaign to ensure there’s No Child Without a Christmas. Through donations and volunteer efforts, the Goodfellows have helped brighten many on Christmas morning ensuring there are toys for children and food for a holiday meal. Although we have had to make some necessary changes in the way we raise money, toys and food for local families, we are committed to helping those in need while keeping our volunteers and you safe. Stay tuned for more information about our Virtual Porchlight Campaign on Monday, November 30.
