It was a pleasure to meet this AM with MP Jasraj Singh Hallan, and the Executive Director of 12 Community Safety Initiative - 12CSI - Larry Leach, to discuss marginalization of vulnerable peoples including the #LGBTQ2S #homeless in #Calgary. It is important to us that communities promote safe and inclusive environments for all. Together we can create that bright and safe future. Together we can #BeTheChange!

I think most of us were shocked to see our neighbours to the south In such chaos on Wednesday. One of the most Important parts of being a North American is that we share the privilege of democracy. Democracy is the foundation of our entire Society. This, we all hold so dearly. Without Democracy we are left with dictatorships, and facism. People who live In poverty inevitably suffer. The division that promotes these ideologies, leaves a lack of unity that promotes hunger, hom...elessness, and death. We have seen 5 deaths already from Wednesday’s attempted theft of democracy. We must work together, regardless of where we fall on the political spectrum to prevent the destruction of what we all hold so dearly. My hope and prayer is we never see anything like this in our country, Canada. Let’s Mourn those losses and remember it’s okay to be conservative, liberal, or anywhere in between. We must Remember opposition is the foundation of our democracy and it’s okay to disagree. We must work to meet each other In the middle, because on the middle ground we find unity, we find strength, and we find all the benefits of we the people. When we work together we can prevent sickness, we can prevent poverty, and we can end homelessness. My prayer for 2021 is that we do all of this, and work together to strengthen we the people to bring an end to suffering. Together we can be the change. Your friend, #ChazSmith

Being #homeless can be challenging on the best of days. #Coronavirus has only exasperated this. My team of volunteer outreach workers at BeTheChangeYYC added an extra Christmas Day Outreach on December 25th, 2020 from 2:30 pm to 9:30 pm. We walked the streets spreading Christmas joy.
