Moncton 2020 HMI camp is in the books. Here is the why we have camp.

Thursday evening and Day 4 has concluded. Another day filled with enthusiastic kids, high energy, and plenty of action. Mini-hockey champions were declared for both Atlantic and Pacific Divisions. The traditional head to head showdown between the two groups could not be played due to the restrictions established in the NB Government Daycare protocols but that did not damper the intensity and fun. Chapel this morning featured the usual Viking and Squid awards along with the S...word Drill final. Jack Tait was declared the champion receiving the autographed plastic sword from HMI veteran Gary Stevens. Gary was also honored with a presentation recognizing his 40 years of continuous service with Hockey Ministries. He has been such an example to us all of a humble servant. On-ice instructor, Vanessa DeMerchant, was our featured speaker. She spoke of her hockey and faith journey, connecting with many of the campers on so many levels. This afternoon former NHLer Mike Eagles joined us for both on-ice sessions. It was great having Mike back at camp. Tomorrow the camp concludes with a slightly different schedule. Atlantic will hit the ice at 11:15 AM with Pacific at 1:30 PM bringing our camp to a close. Thank you to all the parents who have given of their time providing transportation for their children. We were so glad to have been able to offer the camp this summer. This group of kids will always be special to us. They have now been called the 30-20. That is 30 campers in the summer of 2020 who came together to encourage each other and be encouraged in their faith. See more
