Winter Registration is Now Open. https://cheamskating.uplifterinc.com CanSkate registration is for level 2 and up. Please register only if you skater is able to get up by themselves and skate unassisted for 45min. We are not offering Pre-CanSkate or CanSkate level 1 programs at this time. **IMPORTANT PROGRAMMING UPDATE** Jr. Academy & StarSkate programs resume TONIGHT! We are so excited to see our skaters again after this break. Please see below for important reminders and changes to our COVID-19 Protocols:... - NEW *CanSkaters over 9 years old, and all Jr. Academy & StarSkaters are required to wear a mask at all times. - **NEW SPECTATORS ARE NOT PERMITTED for ANY levels of programs. We will continue to have volunteers present to monitor the sessions. -Skaters must check in, verify contact information, and do their health screening BEFORE entering the building. -Skaters can enter the building 15 mins prior to the session start time - not earlier. As a reminder skaters, coaches and volunteers may not participate if they; -Exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms, such as a fever, cough, difficulty breathing, or other symptoms identified by health experts. -If they or someone in their household has been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days. -If they or someone in their household has travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days. **Important Notice** We would like to start out by saying thank you to our members for your ongoing cooperation and support during these uncertain times. We received positive feedback over last weeks pause in programing and it was appreciated. There are still many questions surrounding the contact tracing stemming from the outbreaks here in our community. Also as many of you are aware BC's top health officials announced new orders on Saturday afternoon. The Cheam Skate Club B...oard are awaiting orders from our governing bodies as well as directives from the City of Chilliwack regarding facilities. The board has chosen to suspend programing for another week. This will allow for the continued health and safety of our club members and their families as well as time for the board to receive clarification as to our next steps. IMPORTANT NOTICE All club programs are CANCELLED for the week of Nov 2-7 (this week). This is a precautionary action being taken to aid in slowing the spread of COVID-19 amongst the youth in Chilliwack and out of consideration for the health and safety of all families involved with our club. We will re-evalute this decision over the weekend with the hope of resuming programming next week. ... If your skater needs more time put their skates on at home or in the car. - Only 1 adult is permitted per child, and siblings are not permitted....
