Nice way to come back to work. This man wrote in about our Cab driver #425). As I was driving out of my neighbourhood in Sunalta a couple days ago, I saw a man stuck in some rigid snow on the side of the road, likely plowed in or hadn't moved his vehicle in a couple days. I pulled over to assist another bystander who had already gotten out to help. We worked together but it really felt like we were one person short of pushing the mazda out of the snow. Lo and behold, a gentle...man driving his cab stopped his vehicle in the road and got out to help push, allowing us the time and clearance to get the vehicle safely moving back into traffic. Everything about how the driver got out to assist was a supreme class act. I don't know what sort of commendations or rewards are provided to drivers by Checker, if any, but I really feel this man deserves one.

We want to end the year with our Checker spirit. Jasmine, a Grade 12 student asked Checker if we had any electronics we need recycled. Do we ever! Jasmine's dad drives for Checker. Her father Jasvir is not only a tremendous driver (Badge 5245, Cab 964) he is a proud papa. His girl has been accepted to University of Calgary in the new Bio Medical Engineering program. She is trying to win a Canadian Scholarship for helping the enviroment. We loaded up the truck to the brim with outdated electronics that get recycled and don't wind up in the landfill. ***DRIVER APPRECIATION*** RAVI, Badge #2883 not only receives dozens of compliments, he donates his spare time freely to numerous causes in YYC through his lovely singing voice. The following is a compliment sent in about his outstanding service: I am writing to give feedback on my Taxi driver Ravi who drove me around all over the city from far NW to deep SE, to the hair salon for several weeks after my car accident. Ravi was always on time, polite, clean, and friendly, it meant a lot to me during such a hard time that Ravi offered me such amazing service. The company checkered cabs is lucky to have such an employee and any future bookings I have I will try to book with Ravi.

***WORLD KINDNESS DAY*** Ravi, one of our long time drivers was parked near a grocery store when a lady walked up and gave him this bag of supplies. She saw our post on helping our Veterans' Food Bank and handed him the items. She wanted no recognition or photos - just asked him to drop it at our office. Another lovely review - this time for Ehsan or Ace as we call him in the office! A shout out to the driver of cab 767 who drove my family and I to the Children's Hospital on the night of August 27 after a scooter accident. We wanted to go to the walk-in clinic but it was closing so the driver waited outside just to be on the sure side that we may need to go to the emergency room. We got back in the cab and went to the hospital. I can't thank your driver enough for his patience and friendliness. I will continue using your company when necessary!
