Our Rec Cheer program has gotten a makeover and we are SO excited !! We want to make sure you are well informed on what each program is, who it is intended for, practice times and what the program includes! It’s so important for our new families to have a clear understanding of what our programs offer! Next is our Jumping Juniors ! Age: 8-12 Years... Length: Once a week for 90 Minutes Description: Jumping Juniors is the best of both worlds. It is a great beginner program for those who have never tried cheerleading before but for the athletes coming from Teeny Tinies and Mighty Minis, we will continue to work on a variety of more difficult skills and explore new elements of the sport. Athletes will work on all aspects of the sport; stunting (once we are permitted to do so), tumbling, jumps and dance. Throughout the 90 minutes each athlete will grow and improve on their strength, coordination, flexibility and balance. At this level, coaches will begin to focus on the criteria outlined by Cheer Canada. Each athlete will be assessed with a report card at the end of each session with suggestions on next steps in preparation for future cheerleading programs. There are three levels of recreational cheerleading for them to work through White, Black and Teal. Once a level is completed the athlete will begin to work towards skills from the next level! We strive for perfection of skills before allowing athletes to advance and our coaches will provide a safe and nurturing environment for progression! We cannot wait to welcome you to a session of further development & fun. Fins up to Rachel for joining the team! 5 Fun FIN Facts about Rachel:... 1Her first competition was with the rec program at Ultimate Canadian Cheer, it was Cheer for the Cure in 2009, on her 7th birthday! WE NEED A PICTURE OF BABY RACHEL CHEERING! 2If she could have any animal as a pet it would be a small monkey (but instead she has a rescue cat and she’s a bengal)! 3She loves children, and she volunteered at a daycare one summer to work with the toddlers! 4Shes speak French and is working on learning Spanish! Maybe French Immersion Tumbling Lessons?!?! 5She wants to travel the world one day and her first destination would be Greece!
