This is beautiful Qara - we thought she might enjoy a run this morning but she had a completely different idea. Chatting and smelling the flowers was all she wanted to do!!

Have a wonderful week! Remember, Running Wild is the only cheetah facility breeding for the sole purpose of reintroduction. We have been breeding and assisting... cheetahs to adapt successfully in the wild since 2011. #Many of them are living a happy life in the #wild thanks to our #pioneering efforts. Groundbreaking work that has pathed the way forward for others to follow. We have also advocate for rewilding while others just laughed. While others tried to stop this #revolutionary change in cheetah conservation, especially those who generated millions of rands by keeping them captive for profit. We have also consulted and guided other facilities on how to successfully and ethically rewild captive born cheetahs. A female from Shadow's first litter (Yakira/Kiki' sister), also bred and raised by us, has her own cubs now in the wild. Most probably the first cheetah ever bred specifically for reintroduction, with her own wild cubs. We have stayed true to our ethical vision and mission: #NO public displays #NO public petting #NO public walks #NO breeding for trading #NO removal of cubs from mothers for selling as ambassadors #NO removal of cubs from mothers for public petting or volunteer entertainment.
