Creator Coast Pt. 7 Yesterday (sadly) was the last day of our adventure along the South Shore with @visitnovascotia and #creatorcoastns but we made sure to end it with a bang, travelling along The Lahave. First stop was @ploughmans.lunch an unbelievable bakery, breakfast and lunch spot, oozing with charm and pumping out textbook perfect baked goods and unreal treats like cookies and cream sundaes made with freshly baked cookies, house made chocolate sauce and buffalos... milk ice cream After breakfast we made our way to Petite Rivière Vineyards for a tour of their grounds and sampling of some of their fabulous wines All along the Lahave there are antique, vintage clothing, pottery and art shops, and so much to explore, while meeting the locals. We did just that and followed it up with some snacks and drinks @ospreysnest.pub a new public house right across from Rissers Beach Lahave is home to a few incredible beaches including Rissers and Crescent beach. Driving your vehicle along Crescent is a definite must-try Nova Scotian experience After the beach we popped in to @lahavebakery to stock up on treats, bread and local produce to bring home. They also have a wonderful zero waste pantry now Our last stop on our adventure, was @theoldblackforest , a spot I’ve driven past many times and always wanted to try. Let me tell you; this place was a total home run. German comfort food, done perfectly. They even have a vegan shnitzel option! The new owners including @chefgoogs have truly kept the charm in place, while pushing out impeccable food. Highly, highly recommend This adventure along the South Shore was unforgettable. We visited old favourites, standbys and classics. Found new to us treasures all along the way. Ate so many incredible bites. Creator Coast Pt. 6 Yesterday marked day 6 of our adventure along the South Shore with @visitnovascotia and #creatorcoastns and we spent the day in lovely Lunenburg We started with picking up coffee and snacks at @no9coffeebar , (the most charming cafe in downtown Lunenburg), packed them up to go and headed to Blue Rocks, a short drive away, to enjoy our breakfast with an incredible view ... After breakfast we perused the shop lined streets, filled with vintage shopping at stores like @ametorasupply and @momsbuyandsellshop , and found new treasures at shops like @dotsandloops We popped in to @lincolnstreetfood for a bite and loved their Crispy Market Vegetables and Hibiscus Iced Tea Next we sampled some locally distilled liqueurs and spirits @ironworksdistillery We took a quick break from exploring Lunenburg to hit Hirtles beach for a sunny summer stroll along the ocean Hungry from our walk we landed at @southshorefishshack and @thehalfshelllunenburg for an amazing assortment of fresh oysters and a Lobster Bun. This stop has the most amazing patio and really lovely service. We even stopped back in after dinner to enjoy a fresh scallop, as we were informed they’d be arriving fresh off the boat, any minute. Definitely a must try! If you know me, you know I love to bowl and I never pass up a nostalgic time @ Pajo’s, a locally owned bowling alley, just off the main strip. Creator Coast Pt. 5 I can hardly believe it’s already day five of our adventure along the South Shore with @visitnovascotia and #creatorcoastns ... it’s true what they say, time flies when you’re having a blast! This morning we split up our breakfast, starting with shopping, croissants and coffees at the cutest boutique shop and cafe, @mainandmersey and finishing with a cubano sandwich on Hunts Point Beach from newly opened @huntspointmarket ... We took a beautiful drive towards Shelburne where we sipped pints and flights @boxingrock , and scouted a lighthouse @lighthousesandypoint Back in Liverpool we had lunch at Paul’s where we thoroughly enjoyed some classic shnitzel. This old school German restaurant has a whole list of shnitzel dishes, and I’m so here for it. After lunch we checked out @hellbaybrewing where we each had a flight. I was blown away to find they had four made in house non-beer options for those (like me) who aren’t keen on beer. Each one was equally as delicious as the next Before dinner we did some vintage shopping in downtown Liverpool, followed by a walk along the beautiful waterfront and some swinging with a view at the community playground. I checked out the bookstore, cafe and gift shop @lanesprivateerinn and sampled some Local Tidal Bay selections in the dining room We ended our night @thequarterdeckresort dining on some delicious appetizers like blueberry butter scallops and jalapeño cheddar biscuits Excited to be heading to Lunenburg tomorrow, where I’ll be showing you more of my favourite stops, shops, sips and snacks #creatorcoastns #visitnovascotia #liverpoool #shelburne #partner #southshore #rediscovernovascotia @ Nova Scotia See more

Creator Coast Pt. 4 Yesterday marked the fourth day on our adventure along the South Shore with @visitnovascotia and #creatorcoastns and we spent the day in a town so dear to my heart; Mahone Bay We started out @biscuiteater a truly remarkable gem of the area, nestled in the trees behind the Main Street, flooded with sunlight, filled with books and busting with delicious, thoughtfully curated dishes where you can taste love in every single bite. I 10/10 recommend this ...as a must eat spot in Nova Scotia With full bellies we walked along the shop filled streets, stopping in at storefronts such as @herenorthereshop @teabrewery @teazermahonebay We capped off our shopping with a flight and pint @saltboxbrewingcompany There is truly something for everyone in this small town Another must stop for me in Mahone Bay is always @the_barn_coffeehouse The cutest coffee shop, with the most outrageously gorgeous setup outside this year, complete with a tiny trailer. They offer a selection of drinks and treats including The Fogs of Mahone Bay which I highly recommend working your way through if you’re a tea lover, like me We had a lead on a Nova Scotian staple, located just outside of Bridgewater (a very short drive from Mahone Bay), appropriately named Tastee Freeze. A little shack off the side of the road offering classic soft serve concoctions, scooped ice cream and lots of classic shake shack food like fries, burgers and fried seafood. I couldn’t let this post go by without documenting @sipswithstephane first Moon Mist experience We ended our day checking in to our new accommodations @lanesprivateerinn where we have a lovely corner suite, with a gorgeous walk in shower, 2 bathrooms, a water view and sitting area that’s perfect for editing photos in to the night Today we’re exploring Liverpool and Shelburne, so stay tuned for so much more South Shore Ps. Creator Coast Pt. 3 Today was officially day 3 on our adventure along the South Shore with @visitnovascotia and #creatorcoastns and it was a day spent truly relaxing We enjoyed breakfast @thekiwicafe where I had a Montreal bagel and a perfectly seasonal fruit cup, while @sipswithstephane tried out their highly recommended breakfast burrito ... It was a bit of a rainy day today but that didn’t stop us from a game of dice at the harbour. I love mixing in free activities into my travels, to keep things budget balanced, while still enjoying my new surroundings We spent the afternoon at @senseaspa , a nice walk from @whitegatens (or very short drive). The spa totally lives up to all of the buzz. It was relaxing, invigorating, clean, gorgeous and it honestly felt like being transported to another end of planet earth. I would highly suggest this South Shore experience We ended our day at @oakisland4season where we dined on lobster tagliatelle, smoked meat egg rolls with sauerkraut, fish n chips, some lovely cocktails and finished things off with profiteroles. The perfect end to a perfect day I’m sad to be leaving Chester and all of its charm tomorrow but excited for the next leg of our trip. Any guesses where we will be headed next? Creator Coast Pt. 2 Today marks day two of our adventure along the South Shore with @visitnovascotia and #creatorcoastns and it was another brilliant day spent in and around Chester! We spent our morning sipping coffee on our patio @whitegatens , followed by a stroll along the waterfront and met up with my dear friend @wilddecoelisphotography for some fun snaps ... We brunched @thekiwicafe the cutest spot, complete with pantry and gift shop, serving up stellar sammies, a beautiful seasonal soup and great iced lattes. Pssst. They’re licensed too! Creator Coast Pt. 1 This morning we embarked on our adventure along the South Shore with @visitnovascotia and #creatorcoastns and the trip is off to an absolutely magical start. We started off our day brunching @rhubarbrestaurant_ , toasting to our trip with sparking and dining on house made fish cakes. This has been a dining destination for me, for years. ...
