Monday October 19th, 2020 Unfortunately we are having issues with our telephones at the office this morning. Tech support has been notified. Their is currently no ETA for when the phones will be working again. If you have an urgent eye matter please visit your family doctor or the emergency department.

~~Friday update~~ With the office being re-open this week it has been a very busy past few days. We are working very hard to try & accommodate our patients while following our new very strict government standards/guidelines to keep our patients and staff safe.... On Tuesday, May 26, the Ministry of Health lifted restrictions to allow for the gradual restart of some health-care services. This means that optometrists are a...ble to begin to reopen to resume routine eye care. In order to be able to open to the public, optometry practices must meet all updated safety guidelines put into place by the College of Optometrists of Ontario, which are still evolving with the current COVID-19 situation. OAO would suggest reaching out to your local optometrist to understand when they will be prepared to see patients, what you can do to prepare for your next appointment, and all the safety precautions that will be in place to protect optometrists, staff and patients.

Wear your sunglasses outdoors even if it’s not bright and sunny. Up to 90% of UV rays still break through on overcast days. Some of the thinnest tissue in the human body is around our eyes. Make sure your sunglasses are fully covering your eyes and surrounding eye area properly!
