Ceremony moments 2021 weddings have started off beautifully with these two and their loved peeps.

A day at work that transcended both of my favourite worlds, and brought up some discussions that just are not talked about enough. Thus I am sharing this post on both my business pages as it seems relevant to all audiences. New term of the week for me, Rainbow Baby. "A rainbow baby is a name coined for a healthy baby born after losing a baby due to miscarriage, infant loss, stillbirth, or neonatal death."... When I asked Yoga by Darrien if she liked the idea of me creating a little magic rainbow like flare in the images with my handy prism, she was all for it, and then explained the concept of a Rainbow baby to me. Something her and I could both relate to, and part of what has driven her into the work she does now, as she gets ready to welcome her second child into the world. Her work is focused primarily on Yoga & Fertility support, in all sorts of forms. So the addition of a rainbow to her images was just so fitting. We started chatting about miscarriage, loss and the all too often swept under the rug aspects of pregnancy and life. Why are these topics still considered taboo, or kept quiet? How many women, men and families do we know that are holding on to these stories, wounds and losses? How many people never talk about it? Darrien told me October 15 is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. There is a whole month and a specific day carved out to create awareness, support and conversation around these topics. The more we openly share our own stories, the more we can hold space for others to do the same, and to feel and find the support they may need. But hey, coming from a self-proclaimed introvert who has to take her shell off every day for work, I know the feeling of needing to hold everything in. My walk in the sun today made me specifically want to go back and scroll through this summer session. I think I’m starting to crave spring, and outdoor pizzas, and sunshine, and gardening, and just all the things!
