We are coming up on launch date next Saturday and the property is looking beautiful. Doug, Paul and Archie put up a ton of signs today and Brent was busy all da...y on the trails. The future road is now walkable for the entire distance and was full of hikers and mountain bikers checking out the activity. We are all quite pooped but loving seeing the site come together so nicely. And mushroom season has begun!

Mushroom season has started! While the peak is in September, there are mushrooms throughout the Highlands already. Today, as we were taking photos of the early season's offerings, we unexpectedly met a mushroom expert from Chicoutimi who was wandering the forest doing a selective picking. He was a wealth of knowledge; not only did he easily identify all of the mushrooms in our photographs, he explained how to harvest fiddleheads without harming the ferns and went on to sha...re stories about the whales, urchins and phosphorescent waters of Labrador. A serendipitous encounter. We're working on a mushroom poster (just for fun). Most are edible and several are exceptionally delicious.

Brent is working his magic on the new public trails again. This new trail will connect to the Community Park in the middle of the Pathways hamlet. Several reports of spotted fawns and a little bear cub yesterday on the Woods trail.
