Registered Veterinary Technologist Wanted! The Chemainus Animal Hospital is currently looking for a technician to add to our team. Preferably full time (3-5 days per week), experience is an asset, though new grads are welcome. We have a well appointed but small hospital in a sea side community. To our valued clientele and their furry family members, We at Chemainus Animal Hospital have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and we understand the importance of social distancing. While not officially considered an essential service, we know how important veterinary care is to our community. Accordingly, we will remain open so long as our staff stays healthy and we are not mandated to close. In order to stay open, we have taken aggressive precautionary measures.... We ask that if you are elderly, sick, immune compromised, or have recently traveled, please stay home and have a healthy family member attend for you. Currently, our front door is locked. We are selling medication, food and all other product by appointment only, and without admittance to the clinic. Payment is taken over the phone, or in our parking lot. Our staff members are wearing masks and gloves, and we are sanitizing our debit/credit machines, door handles, and all other surfaces, after each and every interaction. Please be advised that we are reserving the right to limit quantities on all products in order to make sure all of our clients and their pets are taken care of. For appointments, availability is limited, and we are taking ill and/or emergent pets on a case by case basis. Pet owners will not be admitted to clinic. Staff are taking pets from the parking lot and bringing them in to the clinic to be examined and/or treated. All client interactions, including consultation with the doctor, will be done over the telephone, or in our parking lot. As this is a rapidly changing situation, please understand that our protocols may change as well. We will do our best to keep you informed of new developments as they arise, but we ask for your continued patience and cooperation throughout this new and challenging time.
