Their song Weightless (link in bio) has been called "The World's Most Relaxing Song" by Forbes. This quote really got me thinking. It isn't that I haven't heard it before (in fact, I've heard it many, many time) but this time it challenged me. It had me say "wait a minute!" And then the lightbulb went on. Often times I found that being at the end of my comfort zone meant that I had to stretch myself to grow or leap into the unknown or make huge life changes. But now I'm of the belief that it doesn't actually mean just that. Of course, the items I listed totally ar...e things at the end of comfort zones. It can also mean smaller, less scary every day things that are totally rewarding just the same such as doing things differently than you've always done before. It could mean making that phone call you've been putting off for whatever reason, taking time for yourself, or as simple as what I did this morning: I decided that rather than having breakfast at the kitchen table, I took it outside onto my front porch and didnt care if my neighbours saw me in my PJs (out of my comfort zone). As a result I got to see the sun rise, hear the birds chirp and revel in the quietness. It was such an ahhhmazing time! To me, that's a 'life' experience. It's the small things that count. That's what it means to live.
