I never post and it is with great sadness that I am. Please spread the word. Someone broke into the Cherryville Foodbank early this morning. I know they must be desperate and I want to help. We have food to give. Because of COVID we can only have 1 family at a time. I need them to call and make an appointment. We give enough food for more than a week. If you are destitute, we give food that can be heated over a fire. If you have no phone, stop by while we are there. We will accommodate you and give you food. Many people are helped because of the generosity of our Community and Communities across the Country.

Saturday October 17th, 2020 marked the pick-up day of our FIRST pre-made meals for seniors in Cherryville, and it rolled out absolutely wonderfully! Turkey Dinner with cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes & gravy, vegetables, stuffing, a bun, and dessert. All individually prepared meals are $5.00 and we successfully packaged and sold 135 meals! We have the opportunity to have produce on Thursday but we need to know who would like fresh produce. We don't know what the produce will be until it gets here. If you would like to have fresh produce please contact Barb @ 250-260-0562 If you are a Senior and are in self isolation or quarantined , Telus has been so generous in offering to deliv...er to you. Sharon Harvey President of CCFBS Well I am sad to say our little food bank is affected by Corona. We must stop our Thursday operations until further notice. If you need food please contact Barb and we will arrange pick up. 250-260-0562 or myself at 250-547-6646.... We are accepting donations and are following strict standards to keep our at risk population protected as best we can. Please wash your hands often. Stay away from crowds and if you feel sick-even a little-stay at home. We will provide updates as they arise. Now everyone knows I'm not techy so can everyone pass this on so Cherryville residents are aware. Those that don't or can't use Facebook are at risk so tell your neighbors.
