Continuing with Polar Bear Week, this was Bizitek. She had retired from the Toronto Zoo and spent her last few years in Cochrane. The keepers hadn't seen her play with the toys until this day. She was having a great time. These photos were June 2008, except ffor the last one. It was taken in October 2007 and was in the David Suzuki Calendar that year.

I decided to go back to almost the beginning with the 3 bears that started my love with polar bears. These pictures were taken in 2007, 2008 and 2009 with my first digital Nikon. Here are Nanook - the first male I'd ever seen close up (at around 1000 lbs.) and the twins, Aurora and Nikita (who are now residents of the Toronto Zoo).

It's International Polar Bear Week. I'm already a day late but I will post some of my favourites all week. I wish I could be out doing some new photos but that will have to wait

I'm finally back to editing photos. These two were taken in February, 2020, before covid. Hopefully, I will be posting regularly again.

I feel like I've been gone from my page forever. So sorry! Things are gradually settling between the pandemic and other things. I will hopefully have some new photos this week. Heading to our friends' farm tomorrow so that should give me a chance to do some photography
