Well everyone, we have some news to share with you today! While it has been a very exciting few years owning the iconic restaurant, The Cheryl Ann, we have decided to move on to a new chapter in our lives. We are so incredibly thankful for all the support we received from everyone in this amazing little town we call home!! We are equally thankful for the people we have met and the experiences we have had. Our incredible, hard working staff, suppliers, delivery guys, very a...ccommodating reps, they were who and what made us successful. We are so grateful for them all! We could not have navigated this wild ride without you! It was an absolute pleasure to form bonds with the staff we had. It was a crazy, frantic, fast paced place of organized chaos! It was a rollercoaster for sure. We will hold these memories close and remember all the good times and laughs! There really were lots. We wish the new owners and operators the very best in the upcoming 2021 season. Looking forward to seeing the tradition of The Cheryl Ann carry on. EST 1955. Today we announce the sad news of the cancellation of the 2020 season at the Pinery market. The Pinery Market is an exciting Market event, much like a festival ...that attracts thousands of enthusiastic customers eager to shop, eat and drink from over 300 vendors, for 24 Sundays, May through Thanksgiving. It is with heavy hearts, sadness and regret, and after careful consultation, we announce the cancellation of the 53rd season of the Pinery Market. The decision to cancel the season was extremely difficult. We hope your last visit to the market stays fresh in your mind for when we can reopen next year more prepared to comply with provincial and municipal regulations for the large crowds we attract. Our hearts go out to all those impacted by this cancellation, and we look forward to seeing you all back next summer once we have complied with all the new regulations outlined by the municipal and provincial government. We have struggled with making this decision for quite a while now. While we would love to be open and serve our community and visitors, we don't feel safe in doing so. There is so much uncertainty with this virus and we can't guarantee the safety of our staff, and we love our staff! We have had a couple of great years with them and we are sad to have to take this brief hiatus. The Cheryl Ann will not be opening for the 2020 season. We wish all the businesses in town the very best and we will try to see you to support you this summer. Well the May long weekend has arrived and the beaches remain closed as COVID-19 still persists. At this time we are still not feeling like it's a great idea to open. It's been a tough decision to make. We wish the circumstances were different. We wish the streets were safely filled with smiling people enjoying our beautiful little town. We wish we could see and interact safely with all of you!! We wish all of the businesses opening up the best, and most of all we wish you all good health and happiness!! Hi again all. We hope everyone is staying home and staying healthy!! As we all are aware, these are trying and certainly different times we are living through. We just wanted to give a little update about our plans during this time of uncertainty. At this time, we are not willing to risk the health and safety of our amazing staff, our valued customers, our hard working food suppliers or, the small and absolutely beautiful community we are blessed to live in, and work in.... We feel that if we were to open up, it could possibly create an incentive for folks from outside our community to travel here and that is definitely not what anyone needs at this time. We want everyone to stay safe and healthy, including ourselves. We are currently on day 12 of our government mandated quarantine and are enjoying every minute of the certainty of staying safe inside our home. To be honest, we aren't even looking forward to going out to the grocery store when the time comes that will allow us to do so. Stay home folks, stay safe. We will see you on the other side of this pandemic when we are all able to live without fear once again. We will keep updating as information changes on a daily basis. Take care everyone. Hi all!!! We have been putting off posting because of the crazy times we are experiencing. We can't say for sure when will be open this year because of this terrible virus circulating the globe. We, as is everyone else, are just waiting to see where things go in the next little while. We want to keep our amazing staff and customers safe. We will keep listening to what transpires day to day, and act accordingly. We will update as we can!! We can't wait to get through this terrible time and get back to work.
