FREE Family Skate is THIS Thursday Dec 28th! Join us from 2-4pm at Luther Vipond Arena! Be sure to bring your non-perishable food donation for Feed the Need in Durham! We will be offering hot chocolate, cookies and free face painting too! See you then!

Official Statement: Outdoor Movie Night for Hunger is Retiring I have had the honour of hosting this event in Brooklin for the past 8 years. With each and every year that passes I honestly can not believe the number of people who want to be involved, the number of people that come out to support my cause, and the unbelievable impact this event has had on the community and the food banks we have supported over the years. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this little eve...nt that started on my street 8 years ago would grow into what it has today. It has taught me a lot about myself, has given me the opportunity to teach my children about giving, the needs that exist, and amazingly it has inspired others in our community and across Canada and the United States to give back to their communities in similar ways. It was a hard decision but one I know I needed to make. It is time for me to move on and contribute in other ways. It is time for me to focus on the growth of my business, and to spend more time with my children and family. With that said, it is with a heavy heart that I am officially announcing the retirement of Cheryl Gordon’s Outdoor Movie Night for Hunger. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me along the way, especially my family who has always been there for me. I am excited to see what is next for me and I thank the Brooklin Community for joining me in my mission to end hunger. Together we have made an incredible difference! Thank you Celina for your support, kind words, and recognition. I graciously accepted this on behalf of all of those who have believed in me, supported me over the past 8 years, those who have grown with me, sponsored me, and on behalf of the entire Brooklin community. Thank you for joining me and my mission to end hunger! I have never seen this as MY event but rather OUR event. Truly a community coming together to do something amazing. Made our trip to Feed the Need in Durham on Monday with our truck load of food donations from Outdoor Movie Night for Hunger ~in partnership with~ 4Cats Arts Studio Whitby !!! Special thank you going out to Hills Moving for all your help bringing this haul for us and getting your hands dirty unloading the 5,049lbs of food!!! Yes that's correct! 5,049lbs of food collected at this year's event! Absolutely amazing!!!! Stay tuned for our grand total weight once we have a total ...on the monetary donation we will be able to make on behalf of all of our sponsors and the community!!! This year's total is Ahhhhhmazing! Big numbers!!! Great work everyone! Couldn't have done it without everyone's support and donations!
