The Soup that slims+ boosts immunity! Yes we are in the thick of the season where our immune systems are tested to the core... Nutrients in this hearty soup not only fights late-winter colds but also fights acidity in your body. Studies show that minerals and acid fighting foods actually lengthen part of our DNA that shrinks as we age, helping us live longer, healthier lives!Ingredients: - 1 Tbs. coconut oil - 1 onion diced - 4 tsp minced garlic - 2 medium carrots diced... - 4 Cups of cannellini beans - 2 tsp ginger - 1 tsp turmeric - 4-6 cups of low sodium (or your own ) vegetable broth - 3-4 cups of Kale Directions: Sauté onion in oil. Add garlic, stir two minutes. Add carrots, beans, ginger and turmeric, sister for three minutes. Add stock, bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes. Add kale, cook until soft. Enjoy with a dash of Himalayan pink salt black pepper to taste. Serves 2 servings. Family day Carrot Cake Pancakes Most pancakes are made with white flour and are high in carbs and sugar... This version is made without any sweetener contains only 12 grams of carbs per serving and freeze well if need be. Reheat in toaster oven throughout the week! And yes it is yummy Have the kids get involved and start a family day tradition perhaps. Or may get you and a significant other or even amazing just you and them cakes! Ingredients:... - 3/4 cup almond flour - 5 tbsp coconut flower - 1 tbsp ground cinnamon - 3/4 tsp baking powder - 1/4 tsp of each baking soda and sea salt - 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg - 1 cup bpa free coconut milk - 3 eggs or 1/2 cup egg whites - 3 tbsp of coconut oil - 1 1/2 tsp of pure vanilla extract - 1 cup shredded carrot (preferably organic) - 1/3 cup of Finely chopped pecans ( and no not the candied ones ) - 3 tbsp of coconut butter, for serving (optional) Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 200F in a large bowl whisk together almond flour or coconut flour cinnamon ginger baking powder baking soda salt and not Meg. In a medium bowl whisk coconut milk eggs or egg whites coconut oil and vanilla forward to a bar with flour mixture and stir to combine. Fold in carrots pecans. 2.
