I know there are a lot of questions about mortgage payment deferrals as a result of COVID-19. It may take some time for you to reach your lender, but know they are working extremely hard to help all their clients. I have a quick FAQ to help you navigate these questions. If you are going to miss your mortgage payment within the next five days, contact your lender! Some lenders will let you skip-a-payment directly on their online portal, however, it may still be subject to review. Contact me for more information.

For the next few weeks, we're all having to adapt to new work and school schedules. But for some people, these changes may be significantly impacting monthly budgets. To provide some assistance, certain lenders are implementing policies that will allow their clients to skip a mortgage payment or defer the payment for a specified period of time. Many of these lenders are allowing their clients to make these options without paying applicable fees or impacting credit ratings. There is a lot of tension in our communities right now about COVID-19, and as such, were taking the virus very seriously. Like many of our business partners, were taking a proactive approach to reduce the spread of the virus by: - Avoiding large groups of people. Even our team meetings have been moved to video and conference calls, - Working with clients over the phone or web conferencing,... - Reducing or rescheduling non-essential travel, - And most importantly, practicing good hygiene by frequently washing hands. While many of our brokers typically work from a home office, there may be some slight delays from lenders and other business partners as they transition to virtual workspaces. Make sure to speak with your broker if you have any questions about these impacts.
